Title: Murphy's law
Fandom: original drabble
Pairings: mentions of slash
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 100ish
Prompt: original, original slash, zombie apocalypse
"Oh, fuck," Devon muttered as the gun jammed. Of course, because Murphy is sodding bastard, that's when the alpha noticed him.
Rick assured him that the zombies weren’t sentient, that they were all instinct, but Devon had his doubts, watching the alpha goddamn grin as it clicked some signal to the rest of the pack.
That was definitely intelligence in its dark eyes and he switched out his piece-of-shit pistol for another.
This hunt had been a favor for Rick, since his sister had to choose today of all days to give birth, and he would owe Devon about a dozen blowjobs and breakfast in bed for a week, if Devon survived.

Prompt: Supernatural/Fight Club, Sam/Dean or gen, There's really only one Winchester son, but nobody's about to tell [insert brother of your choice here] that.
The half a dozen shrinks Victor had talk to him all said the same things, not that it really helped at all. The kid's dad had done a number on him alright, and he wouldn't go to trial for the seventeen murders he'd committed because he was well and truly batshit insane.
Even so, Victor had to feel pity for him. It wasn't his fault, any of it, not really. John Winchester was the worst kind of monster, and his son had been the one victim he had access to for twenty years. And John was going away forever, to a cell deep in a supermax, to spend the rest of his life in solitary. Victor would make sure the bastard only saw sunlight a few times a decade, if that often.
All the shrinks agreed the breaking point came with that fire, when the kid's mama died screaming. No one was sure if she was Winchester's first victim or if her death really was accidental, but whatever happened that night, it was bad for everyone involved. Especially the kid. Apparently, there'd been a brother before that night, but after… he was a half-orphaned only child.
Victor watches from the two-way mirror as the kid carries on a conversation with someone only he can see. Someone he never actually knew, according to all the accounts of life before the fire.
The kid will never be let back out into society; he sees targets everywhere, because of his father's conditioning. And Victor knows that he doesn't actually feel guilt since he has no idea he's done wrong. He's his daddy's good little soldier. His father's whipping boy. Victor's fists clench, remembering some of the hospital records. The kid sees nothing wrong with anything his father's ever done. Sometimes, Victor wishes he'd just pulled the trigger and put Winchester down instead of bringing him to stand trial.
No, the kid will never set foot outside this place. But it's not his fault, even though Victor had hunted him like it was. That was before, though.
"Hey, don't be like that," the kid laughs, responding to someone who isn't there. Who's never been there. He shouldn't even be able to remember his brother. "Look, I get it, but dude, that music sucks."
Victor rests his head on the glass and thinks that in a better world, this kid could've been something great. He hopes that Winchester lives out a long, lonely life, and then goes to burn in Hell until the end of time.

Prompt: Beauty and the Beast (Disney), Belle/Adam (the prince), visiting Belle's town
There are a dozen differing accounts of the day Belle came home. Well, the gossips say home like that's what the town was, but everyone knows Belle was never really a part of the place. She was always meant for something more, something greater.
Some say the man who came with her was a lord, or a wizard, or even a king missing his throne.
Eyes followed Belle everywhere she went that day, leading her companion by the hand. She smiled the whole time, a new smile, one that no one watching had ever seen before. She laughed. She'd never looked so beautiful, and that's saying something.
Her companion, he rarely took his eyes off her, but when he did... oh, it was frightening, that glare. No one dared approach, his countenance was so fierce.
The only one who spoke to the man with Belle was the bookkeeper, and that was to simply discuss Belle's love of books. She browsed the shelves while they talked, and the stranger actually smiled at some of the tales the bookkeeper shared.
(Later, the bookkeeper would tell his closest friend that he'd never seen a man look so beautiful, the way Belle's companion smiled.)
After that day, Maurice's house stood empty and none of them ever saw Belle again. Word came, though, that a long-lost prince had been crowned in the next country over, and that his wife had started a literacy program for everyone. And her father, oh he had the craziest inventions, and yet almost all of them worked.
Their Belle had always been meant for greatness. And in time, she was a legend in town, the simple girl who became queen.

Pairings: Implied non-con underage OMCs/Jensen
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 275
Point of view: third
Prompt: Jensen (/any), "This is nothing compared to what happened to me in the fifth grade."
Jake's always been ahead of the curve, and he caught the attention of powerful people quite a bit as a kid. He was too smart for anyone's good, and too stupid to know better, and when he was ten, a powerful man made a deal with his dad and Jake went away for awhile.
He was gone for a month. Everyone was told he ran away, but school was quiet since the main troublemaker had gone, so no one was really bothered.
He spent a month doing whatever he was told, making plans that never came to fruition, and trying to ignore anything that wasn't numbers or computers. He honestly never expected to get sent home. He thought they'd kill him once he finished.
Later, when he was a little older and not much wiser, he realized that they didn't kill him because he could still be of use to them. He'd already proven how easy he was to break.
o0o
Pooch and Clay are yelling. Aisha is somewhere, hopefully trying to find a way in so that she can kill all the bastards. Cougar is also somewhere, probably making impossible shots.
And Jake, Jake is bleeding, and laughing, and telling the guy with the knife how bad at this torture thing he is, because, dude, it took more than this when Jake was ten.
Jake's harder to break now, and he has people he knows care about him, people who didn't sell him to bad men for a month, people who will find him when he goes missing and kill anyone who hurts him.
So, he can look at this jerkoff with the knife and laugh.

Wordcount: 155

Prompt: Lisa, it's not love, but how can she turn him away?
She knows that Dean Winchester is not her happily ever after. She's always known that. Eleven years ago he was a fun weekend, three years ago he was a savior, and now...
Now he's broken, bleeding from wounds she can't find but knows are there, and it's her turn to try saving him, even though she's not what he wants or needs.
He's a good man, and he'd be a good father. Not such a good husband, though. He's not the staying kind, not like this. He's trying to tame himself, and they both know he doesn't want to.
She loves him, but she's not in love with him. And he can't stay forever, won't stay forever, but he needs to rest now. Just long enough to try piecing himself back together.
So she kisses him gently, gives him a place to rest, and hopes that somehow, someway, his brother does come back.
