            He feels himself sliding towards the edge. It’s a gradual process, a gentle slope, almost unnoticeable. But he knows what to look for.

            He knows Dean knows. It should bother them, but it doesn’t.

            It doesn’t bother them at all. 

            They’re together. For as long as they can be. They’re together, against demons and humans and God Himself, if it comes to that.

            He knows the edge is approaching, closer with every step. He knows he’s tainted, that he came back wrong.

            Or right. Whichever.

            And he won’t let Dean go. If the cost is plummeting over—so be it.

That may be one of the most chilling pairs of sentences in the entire SUPERNATURAL fanoeuvre (hey, it's scary enough to deserve its own term as it IS, let alone the brothers doing what they've done since the end of last season in CANON plugged into this story).

That IS the point -- the center for them is no longer holding and to save each other -- hell with the REST of the universe -- they're fast becoming what they most feared.

Only in Sammy's case the bitchface covers more than ONE world of wrong.
