tigriswolf: (the devil went down)

Like, I have no idea where the story is going or what the plot is, and so far the only thing that's happened is Klaine meeting along with, you know, centuries of backstory writ large - I don't even know if it's a Supernatural crossover or not.

I just started writing it about an hour ago - why?
tigriswolf: (the hands that held the world)

a) You know what I just got a craving for?  Some good old-fashioned overprotective big brother Dean Winchester fics.  How odd is that?  I kinda wanna rewatch seasons 1&2 now.

b) Remember that job I got fired from last year?  Yeah, I'll be going back, in a different section, doing something different, the week after next.  If all goes well, I'll be there till the end of June/start of July.

c) Last week (on Mardi Gras!) the temp agency I signed on with sent me to a call center.  The four days I was there, I hated it more than the movie theater/department store combined.  I actually called [livejournal.com profile] tigremerein tears.  It was bad.

d) I've been working on the Highlander/Avengers movieverse crossover ( 'a taste of lightning' ) recently.  It's at ff.net and Ao3 at the moment.  I'm really not sure when I'll move it here.  Anyway, the research I've conducted into Norse mythology has made me like Loki even more.  Fuck, but he and his kids got a raw deal.  The Norse gods were a bunch of douchebags.

e) I'm waiting to recieve the final go-ahead on the Klaine Princess Diaries fic from the beta.  Then I've got to figure out how to put navigation bars and the header into it in HTML.   It's the longest thing I've ever set out to write, and I really do love it.

f) What kind of jobs involve mythology?

g) I'm twenty-four now.  [livejournal.com profile] tigremere and [livejournal.com profile] tigris_lilsis invented a cake for me.
tigriswolf: (lightning)

1.  I have a full-time paying job starting Monday. That will probably affect my writing.

2. Have you ever actually looked at a stitch?  The mean black thread, how it goes through your skin and back out again?  It's disgusting.  And really weird to watch the doctor do.  At least I couldn't feel anything.  A few years ago, when my finger had to be stitched up, I could hear it, though.  Creepy as all get-out.

3.  I'm working on a prequel to that Cinderella ficlet I posted a couple weeks ago.  I have so many ideas for that whole 'verse.  Worldbuilding is fun.

4. Tom Hiddleston is adorable with golden curls.

5. I'm only on disc two of Supernatural season 6, and all the episodes so far are ones I watched live.  Nothing new.

6. Hypothetically, if someone wrote a poem based on The Little Matchgirl, would you read it?  It'd be very depressing.  Hypothetically.

7. I don't know if it's an American thing or what, but I find nobility titles very confusing.  Should I just make up my own for the Cinderella 'verse?

PS.  Please explain to me why it was almost freezing (literally, a few degrees above) in October.  That is so not awesome.

I just watched some season 7 and convention clips on youtube, and all my Supernatural love came roaring back.  I'm gonna go buy season 6 tomorrow.

tigriswolf: (all the powers of hell)

So, this season, I've tried to watch a few different new shows, and one on DVD.

I couldn't even finish the pilot of Ringer.

I didn't care enough about Secret Circle to tune in to the second ep, though I did like Brian Kinney as a bad guy.

I watched the first couple episodes of Vampire Diaries on DVD, but not enough to finish the disc.  The only character I liked was Damon.

I'm still watching Revenge; I really am intrigued to see how Emanda is going to destroy everyone.  I have no idea how they'll carry it over to multiple seasons, though.

Supernatural: I've still not seen most of season 6.  None of season 7.

Glee: I actually almost like Schue this season.  So weird.  Still fastforwarding most of his scenes.

I'm watching X-Factor and Project Runway whenever [livejournal.com profile] tigremere does.  That also how I saw the last season of American Idol.  I don't really care about any of the contestants, although I think I'm rooting for Bert (Project Runway) just because I like him the most.  I don't like any of their clothes, though.

I'm also having the DVR record Ancient Aliens because I find it fascinating, but I don't believe in it.  I think.  Maybe.  (It does make a bit of sense.)

And tonight the DVR is recording the pilot for American Horror Story because Zachary Quinto may be in it.  I really hate ghosts, so we'll see how that goes.
tigriswolf: (Default)
Is it canon somewhere that the Winchesters used fake names while the boys were in school?  I can't remember for sure if that's a fanon thing, or I may have just made that up myself.
tigriswolf: (damnit)

1. So, back when Inception first came out,
[info]tigris_lilsis saw it and wanted me to go but I kept saying no.  Then, she got it for her birthday and I sorta watched it.  Then, she convinced me to rewatch it just for the Arthur/Eames scenes.

Yeah, I've been reading oodles and boodles and bushels and barrels and tons of Inception fic in the last week.  There are so many good stories in this fandom!

2. So, now Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy are my new boys.  Which means, of course, that I have to track down everything they've ever been and watch it.  (Did you know JGL was the kid in Angels in the Outfield?  I didn't.)

My favorite of JGL's movies so far is The Lookout, and I couldn't watch Kill-Shot all the way through because I cheated and looked it up on wikipedia, and Stop-Loss, I figured was going to go poorly so I stopped after the adorable beginning that quickly turned heartbreaking.  And GI Joe?  Is ridiculous, dude.  *hee*

And Tom Hardy, so far all I've found of his is The Virgin Queen.  He was gorgeous.  It was before he got all bulked up and his cheekbones were to die for.  I really want to see Rock'n'Rolla and Bronson, but I have to wait till the library gets them in.

3.  I've still not seen the last two episodes of Supernatural.  I'm not sure why.

4. So, I didn't sign on to become a real employee at Macy's, which means my last day was January 1st.  I've applied to at least a dozen places as an office assistant/receptionist, and I took the PC skils test for a library aide position yesterday since I failed the test to become a library tech last autumn.  (Taking a math test cold after three years is a bad idea, by the way.  I hate math.)  I want to become a library aide, then upgrade to a library tech, and then in the fall, I'll think about staying on as a tech for good or going to grad school to become a real librarian or a teacher.

5. I still don't know what I want to do with my life. *sigh*

6. I miss school.  Sitting and listening to someone who knows and loves what they're talking about, learning something new.  The downside to that is a teacher who doesn't love what they're talking about and makes sure you know it.  But on the whole, I was pretty lucky with my teachers over the years.

7. Have you ever thought about the arbitrary rules for the word 'the'?  And tried to explain them to someone who didn't grow up speaking English?  It's really hard.

tigriswolf: (Danny-boy)

1. I have yet to watch last week's episode of "Supernatural," nevermind last night's.

2. My parents and I went to the highschool state championship football game last night (which is why I missed "Supernatural") because [livejournal.com profile] tigris_lilsis is captain of the flag-team.  It was the most I've ever gotten into a football game.  We won.  I actually went to more school events after I graduated than I ever attended when I went there, and--thankfully--I never have to go to any again.

3.  I really hate working retail.

4. I think I've decided I want to teach mythology.  Of course, there is practically zero call for mythology teachers.  If I taught literature, I could probably sneak some myths in, except there is a required curriculum teachers have to follow.

5. Can you believe the year is almost done?

6.  I've been watching SG-1 on DVD and I'm up to season 3.  I really like Daniel.

7. I got three new icons recently.  *hee*  I love icons.

tigriswolf: (Sam)

So I'm watching last week's episode of Supernatural right now for the first time and I've got to say this:

Soulless!Sam is fun, dude.
tigriswolf: (Russell)

So, I just got back from Toy Story 3.  I want to apologize to all the toys I've gotten rid of and hug all the ones I still have. *shivers*

- Leave a comment saying "Ooh, me, pick me!"
- I'll respond by asking you five random questions.
- Update your journal with the answers to your questions.
- Include this explanation and offer to ask other people questions

1) What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

Digimon, I think.  Or maybe Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  The stories were particularly horrible, and I deleted them all a long time ago, which I regret now.

2) Where's the one place in the world you wish you could travel to, but are secretly aware you'll probably never get around to going to?

The Mariana Trench!   And it's no secret I'll never go there.  Dude, it's the bottom of the ocean.  And I don't like boats.  But I wanna go there anyway.

3) What's your favourite time of day?

Um.  After the sun sets.  Not because I'm a vampire; the sun is just really fucking bright, and I get migraines simply by existing.

4) That moment you first knew you loved Supernatural?

Well, I couldn't stop watching "Home," and then I watched "Asylum."  In five years, I've only missed watching two episodes live, not counting the ones between the pilot and "Home".  But I can't remember the instant I decided, Holy shit, this is the bestest show in the history of ever.

5) Speaking of which, do you, in real life, believe that there are such things as ghosts?

I think so.  I mean, I really really don't like the thought of ghosts.  Of all the supernatural 'monsters,' they're my least favorite.  I've never experienced anything myself, but my sister swears our aunt's old house was haunted by my great-grandmother.  My problem with ghosts, though, may (as in, I'm sure) stem from watching The X-Files way before I was ready, and I read three books full of ghost stories.  I still shy away from thinking about one of the stories because of a dream it caused.  I just... I can't even watch those 'ghost hunters in real life' shows, but the ghosts on Supernatural have never really bothered me.  Maybe because I know for a fact they're all made up.

Which is to say, ghosts are probably real.  I just hope I never meet one.

tigriswolf: (thy will be done)
Dean Winchester is my favoritest EVER.

Also, I think season 5 has been the best. *shrugs* I may be alone in that, but I've really enjoyed it.
tigriswolf: (just a taste)
So, me and [livejournal.com profile] tigris_lilsis and [livejournal.com profile] tigremere were on the way back from supper when [livejournal.com profile] tigris_lilsis asked a question about her personality and we were all very serious, but then started throwing out random answers and [livejournal.com profile] tigremere said "Maybe you're Lucifer's vessel."

*hee*  We just about died laughing and it was awesome.
tigriswolf: (mother)

So, in light of season five... Missouri's parting words seem kinda cool.

spoiler? )

You know, "Home" is the second episode I saw, and the one that sold me on the show after the pilot scared me away.
tigriswolf: (hope)

You know what I want? An icon with the words “beneath the sky of lust” and a Supernatural video to Richard Marx’s “Children of the Night”. *shrugs*

Also, are there any Supernatural videos to “Locking Up The Sun?”

Yes, I finally got my Poets of the Fall CD. *glee*

I have a new job, at my college’s bookstore. I get 20% off textbooks.

So, I know I had a plan for my werewolf!Dean ‘verse. I actually think I might have ended up turning Sam into a vampire, so that he and Dean could be together forever. Or that may have been a different story. However, even though I’ve reread the entirety of what I have, I still lack the inspiration to finish it.

I took an assessment of my possible careers and guess what the top result was? Translator. Yeah, I have no idea either. I’m barely conversational in Spanish, if that, and I really don’t see myself ever getting better. The rest of the results, however, do seem more accurate.

I found a short story I started last year, about a family descended from fairies. I added some to it.  I also located, again, some stuff I’ve been meaning to type up and (possibly) finish for about a year. Maybe even longer.

I think I want to teach people to read. Not little kids (I’ve already done two semesters helping second graders get better at reading), but illiterate adults. Or maybe English as a second language. Any ideas for material to research? I’ve already emailed a volunteering program here in the city, but no one’s gotten back to me yet.

Actually, you know what? Listening to this CD (Poets of the Fall, Carnival of Rust), there should be a vid for just about every song. Have you heard “All the Way/4U?” Holy shit, dudes.

I think my new favorite animal is the supercroc. They are AWESOME. Maybe my career should have something to do with prehistoric beasts? Except that would require science classes, yeah?

I watched Disney’s Hercules today.  Hades reminded me an awful lot of Alistair.

Of course, everything reminds me of Supernatural, so maybe that’s not so shocking.

And another thing: I rewatched some of "The Magnificent Seven" very early this morning and actually looked for any other pairing besides Chris/Vin.  The only thing that leapt out was Buck/JD, except I already saw them. So.

Anyway, time to wrap up this post. So, final thought: if you could have me write anything, (any fandom, any storyline) what would it be? Also, any timestamp requests? That might be interesting.

I just watched the Supernatural pilot on TNT. The boys were so little and so young! I'll be watching the episodes on TNT every day I can, until school starts up again.

Also, Up in the Air is pretty good, but It's Complicated is better.

So, since Sam is immune to the croatoan virus, you think his system would be able to handle all the other apocalyptic illnesses that ravage the world in various movies?

Also, Imma handwave that Dean can, too.  Something to do with being angelic vessels, maybe.  Their bodies are hardwired to survive.

No, I'm not writing a fic.  Really.

(Stop looking at me like that.)
tigriswolf: (Sweets)
1. Just saw Liam Neeson's Taken. Now I want him and John Winchester teaming up as scary-ass fathers.

2. I have a fic I'd like someone to read over. It's "Supernatural," just under a thousand words, and I can't decide if its too fluffy or not. Or whether its wincest.

3. I still can't decide if I want to go to grad school. So far, the only thing I think it's got going for it is that I'd get paid more, eventually.

4. Sweets is adorable.

5. So, I've watched the first two disks of "Tru Calling" for Matt Boemer. It is a really dumb show. Does Tru ever get any smarter or less annoying?

6. I only have one fic left to type up and everything I've written this semester is transferred from my notebook. Yay!

7. I actually got semi-into the football game I went to Friday night. It was... interesting, considering the last time I went to a football game and actually stayed through the whole thing was fourth grade, I think? And I didn't care then, either, really. *shrugs*

Do any of you know a song that has a title starting with the letter "Q"? I have a Supernatural alphabet playlist, see, and that's the only letter missing. Even a wordless score would work.
