We've got plenty of fics from the boys' pov, & a good variety of gen/victim/bystander ones, too. I think it would interesting to see them from monsters' pov-as hunters, as humans, as brothers or more. What does "Evil"-real or unintentional-think of them?
You know...I'm a fangirl and since I've seen stories that have been from all of the above, I chose just the boys...but now that I think of it...a mixture could be nice.....but it's also cool to get the boys inner thoughts through a hunt....especially those that go horribly wrong for them.
Well, you could consider the ones where they couldn't save everyone as "going horribly wrong" since you know in their minds it did because they expected of themselves to save everyone.
The rawhead hunt in "Faith" went horribly wrong, leaving Dean dying. Then I think Dean would in a way consider even the ending hunt of the episode a failure because he couldn't save Layla (and I can't remember if that's how you spell her name) while he got to live. "Devil's Trap" and "In My Time of Dying" didn't end well for them...I mean imagine a drabble that's from Dean's point of view in the Impala as John and Sam argue, ending with the Impala getting slammed by the Semi. Umm, what else has gone wrong for them....I think, even though they saved Sam, they consider "Croatoan" and "BUABS" because of those who died. And you KNOW that Dean's opinion of the one that went the most horribly wrong would be "AHBL" when he lost Sam.
So for every time they succeed there is always a hunt that in a way, didn't end well for them.
There's so many different gradations of evil pov to do...human good but produces evil results (Gordon); human evil (Benders); formerly-human turned evil against their will (or not) (Madelyn, Lenore), never-was human at all...
I think it would be interesting to see what they'd think of Dean & Sam without the clutter of familiarity blinding their perceptions, but with enough understanding of what they *are* to see them.
Yup! Though, if it makes you feel better, I'm just about done typing up an outsider pov(someone who has never met the boys before, and hates/fears men) that's over 7000 words.
