Fandom: Heroes

Warnings: AU during season three
Pairings: none stated
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 100
Point of view: third
Prompt: Mohinder/Sylar, recapturing the past

It's not the same. They each know what the other is now, the mad scientist and the supervillain.

It doesn’t matter. They’ve tried the other way, tried to be the hero. They both have blood on their hands and the best of intentions that lead straight to a lake of fire.

This time, there is no destination in mind, no special person with an ability at the end of their quest, no message to deliver.

They’re being chased, of course, by Nathan and the government, by Peter and the rest.

No, it’s not the same. And no, it doesn’t matter.

Title: cat's paw
Fandom: Dark Angel
Disclaimer: not my characters
Warnings: future!fic
Pairings: onesided Alec/Normal
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 95
Point of view: third
Prompt: Alec/Normal, messages

It isn't often, usually not even every month, and as the years pass, he stops expecting it at all.

But sometimes, when he's lonely and remembering the catlike grace(catlike, heh, he should have known) and smooth skin and that damnable smirk and huge hazel eyes and those lips, hotdamn those lips, he goes to the cabinet where he keeps all his Jam Pony mementos.

He pulls out the box of postcards, each with a different kind of cat on the front, and only two words on the back, in that illegible scrawl: Still kicking.

Prompt: Eliot/Hardison, the merits of horses versus cars

Alec cannot take anymore of the sunshine glaring down at him and the branches that keep trying to smack him off the monster's back and just—is Eliot grinning?

"Dude, I miss air-conditioning!" he calls. “And the internet. I can get internet in a car. Hell, I can get internet on a sub at the bottom of the sea! But this monst—” The horse shies from something that ain’t even there and Alec grabs onto the pommel, sending up a prayer.

Eliot laughs. “Yeah, horses don’t get the internet.” His beast prances over and he pats it on the neck. “But cars don’t got souls.”

Prompt: Max/Alec, sibling rivalry

Whenever Max decides to spar, nearly everything in the command center stops. Everyone gathers around, placing bets, and watching with hungry eyes as their leader/savior/alpha dances, quick and light on her feet, nearly too fast to see even with genetically-spliced eyes.

Whenever Alec decides to spar, he goes to a forgotten room far in the bowels of Terminal City because no one else needs to see his quicksilver breakdown or the unleashed fury he shoves deep and masks with a smile before returning to Max's side.

Prompt: Sam and Dean, Stars Hollow

Dean, of course, loves the place. Because of the pie, but still.

Sam keeps glancing around, sure that everyone is staring at him, and he has no idea why.
