Justice League cartoon idea

So, let's say the League is battling some rogues.  Joker, of course, is part of the bad guy group.  And he's got a gun.  And he shoots Batman.

Let's say it's a lucky shot, or maybe he's just that damned good, because Batman goes down and dies before any of the League even have a clue what's going on.

Now, let's also say that Flash has been nurturing a crush on Batman since his Kid Flash days.  Somewhere along the way it turned into full-blown love, but he never made a move beyond the usual flirting with anything.

The battlefield is silent, everyone staring at the cackling Joker and Batman's prone form.  No one can believe it, not the League or the rogues.

Flash moves first, zipping to Batman's side.  He just kneels there as the rest of the League gather round and the rogues try to decide if attacking or fleeing would be the best course of action.

Only Superman hears when Flash looks up at that still-howling Joker and says, "You're dead."

And when Flash moves, there isn't even a blur to mark his passing.  He's at the Joker, hand through Joker's chest, and he says, "You ripped out my heart.  I think I'll return the favor."

He pulls his hand from Joker's chest, the Joker's still-warm heart in his fist, and no one can believe it.  Flash just killed Joker.

"Flash," Superman says, everyone else still in shock. 

But Flash has decided, mind at warpspeed, that it'd be best for everyone if all the rogues were dead.  So he kills all the ones at the fight and then goes to Gotham, rushing through Arkham and leaving corpses in his wake.

... Yeah.  It ends with Flash running so fast he runs right out of time.

So. Am I disturbed or what?

Only in this fascination for making well defined and Heterosexual characters in to homoerotic subjects.

You've got a great mind for idea and plot, I just wish you'd use it for something a bit less cliche than slash-fic, hon. Even if you use someone elses characters, try a non-romance story. Something where the characters act organically to their story.

Do something -different-. Stretch yourself.

I have been wanting to reread my original stuff lately. And actually, most of my fics don't focus on romance. *shrugs* Just the ones I never get around to writing down, like the above. (Which, in my head, was more about Flash going on a rampage.)
