Prompt: Dean & Sam, hiking in the mountains
"We should have done this years ago," Dean says, staring out over the valley.
"Yeah," Sam agrees, looking up into the clear sky.
"So." Dean turns to face him, a small smile curving his lips. "You ready?"
Sam glances back at the way they've come, strewn with angelic and demonic corpses, all the way down to the foot. "As I'll ever be," he answers.
What comes next, neither of them knows; but standing side by side on the pinnacle, clinging to each other, they let go.

Prompt: Castiel (& Dean), Castiel's wings are the last thing to go.
Castiel falls from grace on a human Thursday. He would note the irony, but he is too busy screaming.
First to go is the intimate knowledge of his siblings' presence; he will never feel them again.
Second, he loses all of his Heavenly-given abilities. He is no more than a spirit, plummeting from On High.
Third, Castiel is banished from Jimmy Novak's body as it burns. Jimmy has long been gone, since Raphael ripped them apart, but the body now returns to be dust on the earth.
Fourth, and finally, Castiel's wings are torn from him, leaving not even bloody stumps.
Be born a human, Heaven's voice thunders, the last piece of his old life he'll ever hear. Be born a human and forget. But know this, Castiel—your grace is gone. Unlike Anachel, you cannot return.
His last thought as an angel, before the knowledge and personality eons in the making is ripped from him and cast into the cosmos, is simply, Dean.

Prompt: Nate, temptation
Sometimes, he wants to walk into traffic. Or off a building. There's ways to get a gun, or there's always a kitchen knife handy. It'd be so easy.
Maggie's gone. Sam. He didn't try hard enough--he knows how to twist the system, but he just stood there, gasping and sobbing, while his baby boy died from something that shouldn't have been fatal.
He knows the system. He should have been able to work it, but instead he watched.
His life is over. And he wants it to end.
But he's not good enough to join Sammy yet. So even though he's tempted, he'll wait until he's been punished fully, no matter how long it takes.

Prompt: Meg/Castiel, your conscience is heartbreaking
i
Oh, it's so sweet of you, Castiel, she murmurs, placing one stolen hand to his vessel's cheek. (Or maybe this is his body now. He hasn't found any trace of Jimmy Novak since Raphael tore them apart.)
So very sweet, angel, how you care for that human. Is it orders? Or does he tempt you? She leans in close, lips to his skin, and says, He is beautiful. She smirks, glancing up at him through stolen lashes. I've tasted him, you know. I almost had him, once, when I wore his baby brother, our bright MorningStar's vessel. Do you think Lucifer will mind, when he learns I got there first? She laughs as he pulls away.
Don't pretend you haven't wondered, sweetie, she says, letting her hand drop. Don't pretend you haven't thought about taking him. He'd let you, if he thought it made you happy. To please those he cares about, he'd do anything. She smiles, slow and sweet and sinful. He'd let anything happen.
She tilts her head, listening to a Hellish voice he cannot hear. He doesn't hear much of Heaven anymore, either.
Gotta go, babe, she says. But remember this, if nothing else—he'll tempt you, mostly unknowing, until you can't take it anymore. And when you finally let that useless conscience slip through your fingers, call me.
Her stolen body gives him one last smirk. Lucifer's still got a soft spot for you, Castiel. If you bring him Michael’s vessel before Michael actually takes up residence, he might even let you keep Dean.
She leaves, the body collapsed on the floor, and Castiel closes his eyes, seeking God's guidance, but his Father does not answer.
(He doesn't want to, but he imagines Dean, Dean and Anna, Dean and Jimmy Novak's body—Dean would not be able to stop him.
Dean might not want to stop him.)

Prompt: Warren Peace/Will Stronghold, heroes and villains are only labels that last past high school
Growing up as Baron Battle's son(and most people, it seems, forget he had a mother, a powerful and kind mother, who taught him right from wrong and to look past actions to the intent behind them), Warren realized pretty early on that labels are just as evil as most villains. If not more evil.
Labels let heroes write off anyone not as powerful as them, which is stupid. (Look at Layla. Forgotten as a sidekick, even though she could do so much damage.) Labels make things neat and simple and easy, but the real world isn't like that. In the real world, there's no black and white, just a sliding scale of gray, and nothing is easy at all.
Will doesn’t get that, not yet. Or his little group of friends, except maybe Magenta. But she doesn’t really understand—she just likes to act world-weary and cynical. She’s a kid, like the rest of them.
But he’s Baron Battle’s son. And his mother’s boy. Baron Battle taught him that some things are worth fighting for, even if it goes against the hero black and white and no gray at all schema. And his mom taught him how to not get caught.
Will doesn’t understand, but eventually he’ll see that Warren’s right. They’ll all come around.
