request for prompts
Jun. 5th, 2012 11:04 amI'd like some Avengers prompts, please. I feel like I'm writing too much Clint&Loki team up, and I'll run out of ideas for a new way to do it. Most of the prompts I snagged from the kinkmeme are in the same vein, so...
So. Anyone got prompts for me? Avengers movieverse, since I know very little about the comics or animated 'verse. Crossovers are fair game, too.

I can do generic...
Date: 2012-06-05 05:45 pm (UTC)#1 - High School AU, Loki is a drama club guy and Clint is on the [pick your own sport] team. Nobody ever suspected they were friends, let alone more...
#2 - Random words, Sky, lit, fallen, far, rush
#3 - Song 'Don't You Dare' (http://youtu.be/OUzft1qSwfE) by Alexz Johnson (minus the female gendered lyrics, unless you want to genderswap Loki or something)

Clint&Loki: Loki has actually kept an eye on Clint from Clint's childhood onwards (and has been protective too, without Clint knowing it).

Date: 2012-06-06 01:11 pm (UTC)I don't really do genderswaps, sorry. And I think that prompt is a bit too complicated for me.
Thank you, though!

Date: 2012-06-06 01:12 pm (UTC)... I think I'm combining that with the one below and one I snagged from the kinkmeme.

Date: 2012-06-06 01:13 pm (UTC)Wouldn't that first one be too simliar to 'a taste of lightning'?
Also, that second one is being combined with the prompt above yours and another I snagged from the kinkmeme.

Date: 2012-06-06 04:18 pm (UTC)'a taste of lightning hasn't been posted to LJ yet; it's at Ao3 and ff.net, though.

Date: 2012-06-07 07:04 pm (UTC)Natasha&Tony or Natasha/Tony. They may not trust each other, but that doesn't mean they don't understand each other.
(no subject)
Date: 2012-06-07 07:11 pm (UTC)That was what I'd meant! But I guess I wasn't clear enough.
... that might get dark, in an angsty-introspection kind of way.

Date: 2012-06-07 07:17 pm (UTC)... I'm sorry, is there anything wrong with dark, angsty introspection? But if you don't like it, any Tony/Natasha will make me a happy fangirl.
I popped in the Thor DVD while packing and Thor is currently yelling at everyone and getting tasered and drugged and hit by cars. That never gets old.

Date: 2012-06-07 07:21 pm (UTC)No, there's nothing wrong with it. In fact, the truth or dare fic is trying to turn angsty (possibly because it's Clint's pov, I dunno).
I do love Thor getting hit by RVs. And tasered (which shouldn't work, right, since he can control lightning?).

Date: 2012-06-07 07:28 pm (UTC)Also. Darcy. Darcy makes all things better.
I'm off to write Snow White fic now. Cheers!

Ooh, yes. I look forward to the fic.

Date: 2012-06-09 01:20 pm (UTC)How about something about them being reunited in the modern day, after the Avengers have been together for a little while? Really I would love anything relating to them, because I rewatched CA:TFA the other day and they totally broke my heart all over again. Every time they interact in the movie it's just so obvious how much they care about each other. Also they sound like a bickering married couple when they are fighting at the fair, which makes Erskine's indulgent/amazed facial expressions that much more hilarious.
Don't know if this is getting too specific...but I would adore a story about/including the Avengers being a little shocked by how Steve is around Bucky. Because I kind of feel like the army/government released all this propaganda stuff about Captain America, about how he's brave and upstanding and whatnot (which is all true) but left out a lot of what made that kid from Brooklyn so special. And that info is what the Avengers mostly know about Steve, and they maybe unintentionally (or intentionally) made some assumptions about what kind of guy he is and Steve hasn't really been able to say otherwise what with how he was struggling to adjust to modern life and then the whole alien invasion thing.
But then all of a sudden there is this guy who is supposedly Cap's closest childhood friend...and he's a total smartass. And a flirt. And all those things they thought Cap would hate. And Cap is just snarking right back at him, not to mention the levels of sexual tension going on there.
I have few more ideas for scenes/plots that again might be too specific for you, but I'd be happy to share if you want. Not just Avengers stuff but a SPN/Chuck crossover, some Bryce/Chuck stuff, a Dresden Files/Generation Kill crossover (yeah I know) and a plain Dresden Files fic. I'm not really a writer like you so this stuff mostly just floats around in my head.
Actually, talking about Gen Kill, if you've heard of it...how hilarious would it be if Brad Colbert was genetically related to Steve? Like, his grandkid or something. It would be so.awkward.
Sorry for the massive post. Hope something here tickles your fancy!

Date: 2012-06-09 02:59 pm (UTC)I don't know anything about Dresden Files (except what I learned from crossover fics) or Generation Kill, but I'd be happy to hear the rest.
About that idea... I think Steve would be totally overprotective at first, especially if they got Bucky back from being Winter Soldier. And the Avengers would be more used to his professional side, with a smidge of his upstandingness, so they'd be watching bemusedly, and Bucky wouldn't really be able to say anything, because he used to do the same, back when Steve was that tiny kid from Brooklyn who never knew how to back down. (And, yes, back in the 30s/40s/during the war, Steve never made a move, because, well, it was the 30s/40s/during the war. But now? He's got Bucky back, and hell if he's ever going to let go.)
... something like that, maybe?

Date: 2012-06-09 03:23 pm (UTC)For the idea, I think the overprotective thing sounds awesome, but I don't think Bucky would let him get away with it too much. He'd be all passive up to a point and then just be like 'Yes, but do you remember that one time when I had to pick you up from an alleyway and fix all your injuries because you were a stubborn little shit who wouldn't give up? And then you do you remember the hundred other times it happened?'
How do you feel about neither of them doing the gay freak out thing either? I really like the 'got his friend back, never letting go' thing, I think it'd be really sweet if they just sort of accepted that there's always been a lot between them. And now they can both look at their feelings a bit more openly (as you said, it not being the 30s/40s/during the war) and look at a relationship as a possibility once they realise that they both want to go in that direction.

Date: 2012-06-10 05:59 pm (UTC)Oh, no, Bucky would protest - but how could he stop Steve, exactly?
I like the thought of them both having wondered, back in the 30s/40s/during the war, and neither having worked up the nerve before it was too late.
But now, Bucky's back from the dead.
