I really liked this. I honestly can see Sam snapping just like this in this situation. I've always thought, contrary to perhaps popular belief, that though Dean would definitely kill anyone who killed his little brother in a fire of rage that if he survived that, he would have a break down, but then actually be the one more likely to recover, well survive even if not happily, because he'd still have a purpose and the rage would burn a lot of insanity-level pain. Sam though, Sam who blames himself for everything anyway (and not without reason), Sam who is cool and methodical, Sam who depends on Dean and all he represents to him and his being around more than he could possibly ever realize, he'd snap just like this I think. Excellent, clever, and creepy.
