He has his hands tight around Sam’s long, lean throat. Sam’s body is coiled beneath his, but the boy’s hurt, tired, aching—weak. Sam’s fading fast, slowing; the light in his eyes—rage, pain, fear—is going out, swiftly.

He wets his lips, leans down to nip at Sam’s mouth, licks his way across Sam’s face. He keeps his fingers tight, cutting off sweet, precious air.

He has always loved watching them die. It’s such a pleasure, a turn-on; if he hadn’t already been hard from the fight, watching Sam’s life bleed out of his puppy-dog eyes would’ve done it, so easy.

He pulls his hands away and leans down to bite Sam’s neck, hard enough to break the skin. “Bye, Sammy,” he whispers and rolls off, smoothly rises to his feet.

This is his favorite skin yet, the elder Winchester brother. He’ll keep it a long time.

But first—best to leave before Dean arrives. Time to get the hell out of Dodge.

With one final, fond look towards Sam’s body, he exits plainly through the front door, locking it behind him. He easily slips into the driver’s seat of Dean’s sweet ride and pulls away from Rebecca’s house.

The only reason I didnt read it was because it was tagged character death. I dont handle that well at all!! Everything else you write, I read and often add to memories. But because you asked so nice AND it was so short, I read it and it was very good. Now bring Sammy back!!!!

Okay, I admit it, seeing Sam dead doesn't bother me as much as dead Dean.

I dont't know why. I'm just sick that way.

Actually, the first thing I think of is Dean catching up with notDean and going totally medieval on his $&^%@, THEN Dean going to hook up with some demon bitch at some crossroads.

I'm glad to hear that! Otherwise I was gonna have some of the fangirls kidnap Jared and Jensen and convince the boys to pay you a visit.

Come to think of it, if fangirls kidnapped those two, they wouldn't let 'em go, wouldn't listen to me, and terrible extremely graphic violence would break out over who got first dibs, so that is probably the worst idea in the history of bad ideas.

You let Dean's face kill Sam. (I just broke down laughing at how ridiculous that sounded; I don't know if I'm in the right mood to respond to this anymore.)

Of all the ways that this story could be AU'd, this was not the one I wanted. Sam DIED! and Dean's going to be so overcome with guilt that he'll be thrown in jail. Where he will presumably be shanked when his usual sarcasm changes to rage filled provocation of everyone in there.

You write these things so well that they grab my heart and rip it out of my chest and leave me wondering what that hole is.
