Warnings: spoilers for “All Hell Breaks Loose”

Pairings: lightly implied Dean/Sam, if you read it that way. tigris_lilsis, however, says it’s gen.

Notes: I really REALLY want to write a “Psych” fic. Why can’t any plotwolves lope that way?

 

            There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it will burn him to ash.

            Sam’s sworn to save him, but he’s sworn to save Sammy, and they can’t both make it out alive. Sometimes, he thinks that’s the way they’ve always wanted it.

            They’ve been together for so long, now, even when separated by years and a continent—he always felt Sam just over the next rise, down the next road. Sam was always waiting.

            He’s still waiting, Dean knows, waiting to save Dean from the deal and the demon and Hell’s roaring, scorching flames.

            But Dean can’t afford to let Sam save him—not if it damns Sam in his place.

            And it will, that Dean knows. The demon will not let him go easily, and Sam is a prize… Dean’s already lost too much to the darkness. He won’t let it take Sammy, too.

            He won’t. 

            There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and Dean will welcome the burn if only it guarantees Sam admittance into Heaven.

Hmm, I don't know. Could it *possibly* be because Psych is a happy, fluffy show with only a mild seasoning of occasional angst and your plot-zoo is a place of darkness and gnashing of teeth where any fluff or smoop will surely turn evil and kill each other/themselves and die in horrible, horrible ways?




I'm just guessing.

See? You would be much better than me at the whole self-sacrificing Dean, protective thing! I can almost see the range of emotion that are passing across his face. Probably because Jensen Ackles has such an expressive face...and pretty too! Wow, getting off topic, it was reallly awesome and as i have told you many time before...you have talent!
