Alec leaves on a wintry Thursday, with only a single, fleeting glance back at Seattle. He steals a Lamborghini on his way out of town, staring at the Needle once in the rearview; he abandons the car a hundred miles away.
He watches the sun set that night for the first time in his life. It lights the sky afire and he feels small. Unimportant. Like he felt at Manticore—and around Max.
It’s not a feeling he likes and he turns his back, starts walking.
He has no destination, just away. Far away.
Somewhere free. And warm… so warm.

A dozen minutes till dawn and Dean knows they can’t leave a loose cannon at their back. Sam won’t like it, but his opinion isn’t important. Not in this.
It’s a shame, because Dean had liked Gordon Walker, in the beginning. At the bar. Even at the motel room, talking shop.
But he doesn’t like a man who threatens Sam. And Gordon looks down on Sam.
Sam would ask Dean to spare Gordon, to let him live. Sam likes to see the best in everyone.
            Dean knows better.
Sam’s on the way, so Dean does what has to be done.

I liked both of these but esp the Alec one. I can see him wanting to be free and get away like that.

Eek! Dark!Dean!

Nicely done. The DA drabble is good, too. :)

Very realistic that Dean would do in Gordon, given the threat he represents. Makes me wonder why he didn't on the show.
I can also see Alec wanting to get away from Max. Whenever she's around, it's always about her. He can't be the hero if she's there. Like Faith was thinking in the latest issue of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight.

Ooo, I love the Dean one. It fits so well in my perception of him, which is darker than he's portrayed on the show. Maybe what SPN would be like if it was on cable or something. Anyway. I love dark!Dean. He should've taken care of Gordon then, or after 'Hunted' at the very least. I know he must've thought about it.

I agree, if Supernatural was on a different network or aimed at a slightly different core audience or whatever, he would definitely have done that. It's about making the hard decisions that no one wants to make, which is a major theme of Battlestar Galactica, one of my favorite shows. That's my perception of him as well.

1st: Quiet and heartbreaking somehow. Poor Alec.
2nd: Quiet and dangerous. So Dean in planning mood.

Looks to me like you have a loose homophone. Alas, spell-check won't help with that.

I liked both, especially Alec riding off by himself.
