She’s never been afraid of him. Despite everything he is, everything he can do… she’s never been frightened by him. She found him(he found her) as a little boy, already stronger than Jonathan, than anything she’d ever seen before. He didn’t even know his own power, but he never hurt her. Something in them connected.
(He only wanted a mother—she only wanted a son.)
And on that day of terror and pain, she got her dearest wish. She got a little boy she never had to worry about; car wrecks and disease could not touch him. All the things a mother feared, she could brush under the carpet and not give a second thought.
He’s her baby boy, even as a man grown. He’s still that boy she found(that boy who found her), that child she fell in love with in a scarred cornfield.

Neat. And touching. I wonder why it's tagged "Jensen Ackles"? Would this be an AU with Jensen as Clark, given that he auditioned?

I know. So, you tag every fic set in a certain 'verse with the actors that have been on that show whether or not they are in the fic.

I think it was a shame that TPTB felt they had to make Jason do a 180-degree turn into an Oedipal antagonist in order to write him out in preparation for Jensen's role on Supernatural.

You're welcome. I really think this is a sweet little look into Martha Kent's mind. On the subject of drabbles, I just wrote one (a DA/SPN crossover) which I like very much.

And, having seen Dark Angel's 'Two' today, I think that Jensen needs to use a British accent more often.

I can't exactly post it until I have a livejournal (I'll talk to my parents about when I can do that, they were open to the idea last time we spoke of it), but I can email it to you if you want to see it.

I've been trying, but no matter what penname I give the response is that it's been taken. Even though Author searches reveal that they haven't been taken. I think there's a malfunction going on. Fanfiction.net has those from time to time, such as when you can't use the Search option one day even though you could before and shall again. I'll wait and see if it passes.

Okay, now I'm confused. It kept rejecting attemps to register as "Noneofyourbusiness", "None-of-your-business", "None Of Your Business", or "NOYB", saying that the pennames were taken even though they *weren't*! But it accepted "BubblingOverWithIdeas". Thing is, I didn't actually want that name, so I tried "NotYourBusiness", which it also accepted. I'm going to active the latter account and not the former.

There's no problem with that, is there? Also, do you think the drabble should go under Dark Angel, Supernatural, or TV X-overs? I suppose that Supernatural would be the most likely to be searched for.

I've added you and feline-fury1 (silver ruffian) as my Favorite Authors.

Well, hard to say. It takes place at the fiery ruins of the Manticore base and has characters from both shows in equal prominence. Which category would you think makes it most likely to be read and reviewed?

In the guidelines it forbids doing both.

In any case, I'll have to wait roughly a day and a half before my Document Manager is avaiable. I've registered as NotYourBusiness.

Truth be told, I've never been that much of a fan where Superman's concerned. But Martha Kent... especially the way she's in Smallville... she's certainly a curious person.

This is a nice insight into her.
Thank you.

I'm going to check that out as well.

Logan Cale kind of reminds me of Batman, since he's an ordinary guy whose only "powers" lie in his mind and technology, waging almost a one-man battle for social justice. He gets to beat people up less, though.

Batman/Superman slash? Methinks I've gotta check that out some time. Thanks for the heads up! :)
