Very simple. No baking involved at all. You need a couple boxes of Famous Chocolate Wafers - depends on how much cake you need. (Any thin, brittle, EXTREMELY RICH chocolate wafer cookie will do, but Famous brand is my tried and tested choice.) You also need whipping cream, mixed with a bit of sugar and whipped to stiffness.

With the whipped cream and the wafers, make giant, many layered sandwiches. When it starts to fall over, lie it on it's side, and make it longer/taller. Make sure you have enough wafers so that you can make two or three towers so that the cake is properly proportioned. line the towers up side by side. "Frost" the whole thing in more whipped cream.

Stick in the refrigerator. (Hence: Icebox Cake.) Allow to chill for at least an hour, but up to a day or so. The wafer cookies absorb the moisture from the whipped cream, and you get a lovely white and black vertically striped cake that's intensely chocolately and rich.

Try to let your guests eat a morsel or two. Gain 80 billion pounds when you fail to let anybody else have any.
