I was glad he wasn't the bad guy because he was really cute and I didn't want him to die. But then that last rant... telling the men whose lives he saved not to thank him because it meant he killed a murderer... I dunno. It just kinda bothered me.
Even though he saved Sam and Dean...I can still see why it bothered Jay so much...that was his best friend for over 40 years it sounded...murderer or not...they were like brothers...and he killed him....whether or not he saved Sam and Dean doesn't matter to him...in the end, he's exactly where he didn't want to be, alone and old. He's just as bitter as he was in the beginning only now he doesn't have Charlie OR Vernon to be there with him.
It makes it all the more tragic because know that the moment he killed Charlie he instantly regretted not just taking the deal and finding a way around Sam and Dean dying.
Why does the thought of a fictional one-shot pairing make me all sniffly and teary-eyed? Damn you, Show. Damn you and your wonderful, utterly smishable guest characters. *sniffles*
This one just plain hurts, love. I should concentrate on the happy-making in this ep. Like Sam wearing the slacks and the dress shirt. Yes.
