Heaven's betting the farm on one dead part-demon, poster boy for the Seven Deadly Sins in life -- because the one thing in his life he did right was love with a strength and single-minded purity that might be enough to avert whatever is up ahead -- or give the one he loved enough to honor an impossible deal for, a chance to help Heaven win the fight.
You know how much I love the character of Dean Winchester, Tigris. But, he's one way-out Heaven's Champion, kinda like what happens when you have to depend on the last kid chosen every time for your gym team to sink that basket.
Uriel must gag just *thinking* of Team Winchester and the relief squad.
But I'm loving this January extra helping of Secretses (psst: Friday. DEEEEEEEEEAN. The poor boy needs something of tremendous JOY with a radiant cap to illustrate as you do so wonderfully well. Funny is good, too. Freckles are double good).
They should just turn the whole concept over to you.
