Hmm. But what do they do with him? Hunt him down, lock him up, straitjacket (this is a disturbing kink of mine).

Dean in a straitjacket, thumping his head listlessly against a padded wall while Sam looks on outside the window, occasionally coming in to talk because he is the only one that Dean "responds" to.

or

Sam (with other hunters of your choice) uses not-evil-supernatural-thing!Dean (unwilling, of course) to draw out other supernatural things to kill. Your choice whether Sam has ethical objections/pity for poor captive-not-bad!Dean.

or

I want Dean to get stuck as an animal. Perhaps Sam could even change him back - if he wanted to. Sam always wanted a pet; animal Dean is the perfect option.
