Back when I first wrote the drabble, I did play out various ways it could go in my head. And now... I don't know. Maybe if I rewatched the ep, something might click.

Angst is SUCH a good world to live in when it comes to fiction. I think it's a good, solid healthy way to get the darker, meaner urges out of our systems. Just inflict them on fictional characters! It's so easy!

Wow, that's an old one. *whistles*

I remember thinking that it'd be awesome if Sam was a red herring and The Demon(Azazel, Yellow-Eyes, wow, he's got a few names) really wanted Dean. I never intended to write more than the first part, and then the second one snuck up on me because it seemed like Dean had a fascination with fire.

Hmm... one of my favorite DA pieces. I hate how they never really mention that Alec could take Max; how he must be holding back. And I believe that if Max ever stopped to think about Alec, she'd realize he is dangerous. That's where the fic came from. That first line popped into my head.

Also, "Lady's Sorrow" is an undeclared sequel to it.

Yeah, that's one of things that I have found annoying so far. That Max consistantly beats Alec, when he has had nearly a decade more of training then her. It doesn't make sense that she can beat him again and again unless he is holding back. Even if they were matched physically, I would think that he would be more ruthless then her because he has been on missions where he did kill people.
