What if Dean Winchester had been triplets, and one is the 'shifter(but he's not a shapeshifter, he's just a pyscho) and another is Tom Hanniger? And then Dean doesn't just have his own crimes to worry about, but theirs, too?
LOL, you just reminded me of that triple!Dean Sam fic... what was it called? Agoraphobia. Sadly, it's not longer available. And man, you love to torture my bb way too much, LOL. *shakes fist at you*
Or more than triplets. He's the pilot project for what will become Manticore, and they randomly swapped him with kids in hospitals all over the country, also allowing to tie in CJ from Dawson's Creek, and the character in... ooo, I'm a bad fangirl, I can't remember the name of it, that cool thing he did that never made it to TV but the pilot is around, and the kid in that episode of Wishbone (although I kind of think he was actually Dean making up a "let me fix your clock" story to get a cursed item away from the family with the oddly precocious dog) Jason from Smallville, third Halloween kid from the left in Seventh Heaven or whatever, the guy on 'Blonde' (the archetypal copy, given the era), Preistly, Tom Hanniger, Jake Grey (who Proto-Manticore totally screwed the pooch on swapping in, that or proof that Manticore is not really cloning with science, but some kind of demonic thing, ooo) and Dean, and eventually leading through to Ben and Alec. Ooo, and if Proto-Manticore (or the other guys, um, damn, what were the called) did do this sort of seeding project with demonic (or other... maybe lightside? In which case, Jake, and Tom and Dean are all getting whacked by Hell in retaliation and the rest are either duds, or flying under the radar, or yet to come into whatever kind of power, thing *handwaves incoherently*) influence and means, maybe they did it to counter YED's seeding program, placing a clone/whatever opposite an ocurrence of YED seeding each time, making random characters in each of those other places a YED special kid. Yin and yang, light and dark, chocolate and vanilla. All placed to balance out the evil influence, to keep it in check and prevent armaggeddon, OR all placed to be in competition with or eliminate the evil influence to bring about an armaggeddon under proto-quasi-Manticore's control. Or something.
Making Max a next generation YED kid, and Alec her balance/competition, with a third shadowy cloning/power-enhancing demonic or lightside cult secretly pulling the strings within both Manticore and the other group to bring about or prevent the apocalypse, with Sam and Dean, somewhere around having been through the cycle once (and prevented it's completion or the world wouldn't be there) to try to stop the cycle again, and bring down the group behind it which may or may not be Hell- or Heaven- affiliated, and who may or may not still have access to spring Tom and Jake from whatever psychiatric or mining-related hole they are in to get them to work against Sam and Dean.
Gahhhh! *randomly fires off plot-bunnies and flees to go to work*
