So, let's say, for the sake of argument, you downloaded an episode.  And the episode, after you start to play it, doesn't have visual, just audio.  And you're trying to watch on Windows Media Player.  How would you go about fixing the problem?

ETA: problem solved!

Nothing like instant gratification;) Anyway, if you feel like it, a superspecialsammy story will be nice.

Have you tried playing it with Media Player Classic?

A codec might be missing, maybe even divx codec... the ACE Mega codecs pack, downloadable somewhere, would cover that.

If it's SPN, try spnfencecentral on LJ, tag "medja". *winks*

If it's a problem with the player, a missing codec etc, then this codec pack - Combined Community Codec Pack (http://www.cccp-project.net/) - will patch pretty much anything. It has media player classic and another basic but excellent player included XD

It's probably just that you need to update your codecs, sweetie. Especially the Divix codec.

Download VLC media player, it plays just about all the files I get, and I download a lot of subbed anime.

I'm tired of using youtube (although I was ecstatic to learn of savevid.com). This week, the whole episode, except the last 10 minutes were downloadable. It took me hours to search for the last bit, and I could not even download it to the computer. Where do you get yours?

by downloading VLC player and watching it on that.

it does sound like you're missing a codec. I might have a link. Want me to look for it?

You need a decoder. I can burn the file and upload it onto sendspace for you if you want. You're going to need my code though so if you want it send me a email via livejournal.
