5 WIP first paragraphs

SN: Dean got there in time to hear the gunshot. And he prayed, God, if Sammy is dead, I’ll kill every man I meet ‘til you give him back to me.

 

DA: Ben thought about returning to civilization every now and then, but he preferred to stay in the Rocky Mountains. He didn’t see a human for months at time and counted himself lucky.   Most of the animals stayed away from him, given the chance, but he hunted down deer every few days and ate everything but the bones. He cached some for the leaner days.

SN: Dean’s voice hasn’t been the same since he got back from Hell. It’s deeper, rougher. Harder. Sam sometimes wants to ask him about it, to learn if it’s a choice or just—maybe his vocal cords got healed wrong. That’s possible.

SN: There's something you need to realize, he says quietly, not looking at anyone in the Council.  His gaze is directed below, to Earth, to the small creatures scurrying about their lives blindly, unaware how close the end is, unaware the danger that lurks in their very midst.

F&F: He thought about it a lot in the immediate months after letting Dom go. He weathered the investigation and came out the other side still a cop, but with a mark on his record.

I have no idea. I think the text is just there to "balance the icon" or something.

And yes!! I do want to read what comes next, I don't want Sam dead, but OTOH it'd be awesome to see Dean on a rampage!

I haven't seen any of the F&F movies while I do love their soundtracks. You're making me regret I leant out my DA DVDs right now. Oh, Ben~.

I rewatched some DA recently. I love Alec and Ben is so heartbreaking... *snuggles them both*

Haven't seen F&F, but the first three MUST be written! *sends urgent waves of encouragement in your direction*

Gunshot: Either way it goes, it's a blockbuster. Whether Dean does it, or finding Sammy makes him realize things about himself and his situation, I love this one.

Ben: Oh YES!!! He was bugfuck, all right, but HE was the most amazing character. They heal fast, maybe Max just broke the bones without severing the spinal cord (that's what angel braces are for). And the kitty DNA makes me loooove the line about eating everything except the bones -- after you find mousie skulls and insect exoskeletons in the catbox a few times, it becomes all the truer.

In terms of richness of character and skill needed to effectively get him across on film, Ben joins Dean as one of the two best roles Jensen's ever had. So far.

Voice: The Dean voice is a construct, both of the actor and the character. Dean is gruff, his normal speaking register deliberately low. These days, tension makes his voice rough and hoarse. Castiel healed his body, he was given enough mental mojo to just barely hold himself together (I've always thought he didn't come to first consciousness with full memory of that time, that it kicked in totally later around the time he started to get really friendly with the bottle and weepy as all get out. Otherwise, he would have been like one of those 28 DAYS LATER victims. Or something. Waking up was traumatic enough the way he did it with the flashback flashes we saw him experiencing.). Unrelenting tension can hoarsen your voice tremendously as the neck constricts inside and out.

(BTW, Stanley of the icon adores Dean's voice and comes running to wherever it's emanating from. Ackles, any other actor/character, no. Just Beloved Deeeeeeeean. Boy has fine taste.)

Woo-HAH, do you have great ideas and I hope we see some of them more fully fleshed out.

You should see The Fast and the Furious! It's got Vin Diesel and Paul Walker making eyes at each other.
