Guess what I'm gonna do when I get my next paycheck?  Imma buy the entire series of "Xena: Warrior Princess."  Yup.

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of Karl Urban's first guestspot on "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys"?  I've already tried blockbuster.com and the library. I can't just buy the entire season for that one episode, especially since I have a thing where I have to watch an entire series. (Except in the case of "CSI".  For that, I'll just watch the Chris Pine/Misha Collins/Zachary Quinto scenes, thank you very much.)

Xena started off pretty good, but ended up sucking by the end of the series...the mytharc over-took it, see, and SWALLOWED THEM WHOLE.

Personally, I'd suggest buying it by season. That way, you can decide how much further you want to go. I'm just remembering how disappointed I was in both the Xena and Hercules shows, because they were touched by the same mytharc (aka stupidity). *sighs*

I remember watching "Xena" whenever it was on, and I mainlined season one a while back. I think I've seen parts of the final season; isn't that the one where Xena and Gabrielle are frozen only to wake up twenty years later, to Xena's daughter as queen of the world?

I really wish he'd done more Cupid episodes, I especially regret there wasn't some episode with Cupid and Ares, with Ares as Cupid's father and them being all awkward haha

It would have been great! And then Kevin Smith died (and in such a horrible way) and there was never to be more Ares *sighs miserably* There's a bit of fanfic with the two of them, but most of it kinda sucks.

It really never dawned on me that Karl/Eomer/McCoy was Cupid until I saw someone's icon on a trek community and I was like, "OMG! IT WAS HIM!!"

There is a part of me that REALLY wants to go back and rewatch all of Hercules and Xena...but then there's a part of me that fears I won't love them as much as I did when I was a child and it'll ruin them for me. :-( So conflicted!

I used to adore "Xena"; I rewatched season one either last year or 2007, and still loved it. I can see now how silly and wrong it is, but it's still just so much fun.

I may put it on my netflix queue to watch...I remember loving both series...but really not enjoying the ending of either series....and that always makes me so sad when a show I love ends badly.

wow. I had no idea Zach was in an episode of CSI. It's entirely possible that I just re-re-watched that ep to see him. Weirdly, I totally remembered the case that he wasn't involved with, but not at all the one he was. And he was WELL worth the re-watch, even though I'd seen it twice. *happy sigh*

um, i feel kinda dorky saying this, but i own xena. all of it. well, actually, my younger sib really wanted it, mainlined it after the parents bought it for sib, and hasnt touched it for at least a year. but it's there. and sometimes, it calls to me...
as does young hercules on hulu...

There was a certain cheese factor, but I think Xena was better than Hercules. Lucy Lawless is a great actress. I wish we had gotten more of her as D'Anna in BSG.

I fucking agree with you so hard. Xena was better than Herc on a lot of things, despite the So Bad It's Awesome cheese factor.

From what I've seen/heard on BSG, they greatly under used her.
