So, I saw New Moon last night. Now I want

- to return to my werewolf!Dean 'verse

- to type the Dean&Sam raising a pack of hellhounds fic

- a fic where Sam asserts his dominance over Jacob

- a fic about when Jacob first turned into a 'wolf and how it felt

Yeah, I'll probably write that last one.

Also, who in the world would choose Edward over Jacob? I actually read some of the book last night after seeing the movie and even in the book, Jacob is cooler. Also also, that Meyer lady really isn't a very good writer. Sheesh. And at least in the movie, Bella sometimes seemed alive, what with attacking Paul and all. She and Jacob should have run off together so that he could build her self-confidence.

Yeah, that second one definitely has potential. I'm in love with Jacob all the way, and a little introspection would be awesome.

Also, even though I've never seen an episode of Supernatural, I want to read the hellhounds fic so much.

Hellhounds! That sounds awesome. And I have to admit that I'd love to see more of the werewolf!Dean verse - it's such a cool idea.

Yes, exactly. :)

Also, what with being a century plus, you'd think he'd have the wisdom to know that leaving Bella would not end well.

You just noticed that Stephenie meyer can't write for shit?

I have no idea why anyone would chose the stalker vampire over the hot werewolf.

I'd love to say, "Damned if I know." rhetorically and bemoan with you, but Money talks and bullshit walks is the short answer.

The long one - because contrary to popular belief, publishers do not act as filters for bad writing. They are businesses who make money from books - if they can sell it, they will print it, regardless of quality. There are many, many good authors who cannot get picked up because they won't have the sales.

I dread to think what it looked like before editing. There's more crap in the following books because they were rushing to get them out beore the audience grows up and wonders what the hell it was huffing.

Meyer can't write, but there's something in the story that's grabbed a shit ton of teens. And more worringly a load of adult women. Fine if you think it's cnady for the soul, but the devotion and the swearing it's the masterpiece of the century and the death to all haters and stalking the actors to the point of nearly killing one - from grown, adult women who vote and drive and pay taxes?

Maybe the question should be "What the hell are people reading?"

This is soooooo much word!

Frankly I think Bella and Edward belong together and deserve each other.

The ONLY thing I liked about those books with Jacob (though I didn't read the last one. It sounded toooo hokey.) I haven't even seen the first Twilight b/c there wasn't much Jacob in it lol. I can't believe the ZERO chemistry Rpatts and Kstew have and how MUCH Kristen and Taylor have. Its like fate. BELLA AND JACOB. DUH S. MEYER.

I read the Twilight series in one week in February and became a LOL-fan. Bella is such a Mary Sue and the books are such wush fulfillment! I agree that Jacob is definitely much cooler than Edward. Except literally, and I've never understood why Edward's lack of body heat was a turn-on.

I meant "wish fulfillment" not "wush fulfillment". But maybe "wush" is a better description? The books are pretty wushy.

Heh. Is it wrong that the wolves were the only thing that saved the movie for me? (Well, and the Jasper almost eating Bella scene, but that was waaaayyyy too short for me)

I am firmly on Team Jacob now. Srsly. Edward who???

And no, I did not get ideas about a second werewolf!verse...where the wolves work a la Twilight...and there might be a whole 'Sam doesn't know why his brother's been avoiding him' thing *shifty eyes*

Oh man, Jasper. Poor dude doesn't get nearly enough love. Alice kicked ass.

(and I totally loved the voting scene. "It'd be nice to not want to eat you all the time"...or however that line went.)
