1. It snowed. Second time in two years. Holy shit.

2. I made a playlist of songs I think fit Supernatural and I want to write drabbles for each one. Despite all the other drabbles I've wanted to write and never got around to doing, like the favorites drabbles and the canon episode drabbles and the dark!Dean AU drabbles. Yeah.

3. Did I mention it snowed? And that snow is cold?

4. Neal Caffrey is kinda adorable. And awesome.

5. So, I have a paper to finish editing, four tests to study for, and that's it for the semester. Woohoo!

6. I hope this cold front moves through quickly. It cannot snow on the day I have 7:30 final again. IT CANNOT.

7. All you people who get tons of snow--isn't it cold? *burrows under blankets*

But snow is awesome! It makes everything crisp and clean and brand new and mysterious, and it does gorgeous things with moonlight, and throwing balls of it at your little sister never gets old. Also, it's the most delightfully Christmasy thing EVER.

well i'm back in France, where you don't get to decide which classes you're gonna take.
It's about 10 classes this semester, and I have two finals for 6 of them (one written, one on computer)

I've had both experiences. I grew up and spent my first 23 years in Minnesota. At least once a winter, it gets so cold (we're talking -30F) that the governor will have to cancel school. While I don't love it that cold, I love winter. Moving to North Carolina, then to England, and now to DC, I am miserable. Everything is so dead and yucky and brown that it makes it really hard to get in the mood for anything. Snow makes it so much brighter. That we're getting this much snow today has me absolutely ecstatic. *G* And to me, no, this 35F stuff isn't cold at all, not with what I've been used to all my life. It kind of makes me laugh when people get all bundled up at 40F and freak out like there's a hurricane coming when it snows even just a little. But that's me. I'm used to it.

Happy finals! When's Milton?

Sorry I'm behind . . .

How did it all go (all the classes)? Can you finally have a few days off?

Yeah, the hurricane freak outs amuse me, too. It's like people think weather shouldn't happen or something.

I hates snow. With a vengence. Then again, I sort of hate winter in general. Bah.

So, I have a paper to finish editing, four tests to study for, and that's it for the semester. Woohoo!

YAY FOR YOU!!

You did not go to the playoff game and sit in the very cold rain, sleet and snow for 2.5 hours. It was cold. Bleah---.

1. I would like to get snow. Unfortunately, we tend to get ice instead. Hate that.

2. I also match songs to certain characters/shows. For instance, Trace Adkins' "Rough and Ready" = Bobby from Supernatural
4x4 - straight pipe roar
Primer and rust all over the door
Scarred up knuckles, Mack belt buckle
White t-shirt - Ain't afraid to work
Got a "what-are-you-looking-at-asshole" smirk

Work boots - one blue suit
Size too small - don't wear at all

...

Cold beer, hot wings
Wranglers, Skoal ring
Get just what you see
Gun rack, ball cap
Don't take no crap
Ain't a pretty boy-toy
I'll rock you steady
Rough and ready

3. It is coooooold here - and going to get even colder. However, I can't really complain as we've had a marvelously mild and pleasant Autumn-Winter season so far, and it *is* December, after all.

4. Neal Caffrey is awesomely adorable. And so is Peter Burke (in his own, completely different, way) and Elizabeth, too. And June is just awesome. Period.

I am amused at how the internet famdom basically imploded this weekend over the last 45 seconds or so of the fall finale. Not that I haven't flipped out over finales - even fall finales - before myself, but this seems to be an obvious case of misdirection/audience misunderstanding. It is a CON show, after all.

5. Yay! Being no longer in the academic world myself, I love to be supportive and vicariously celebratory with those who are.

6. My sister is seriously wishing for snow in the very near future as she will be leaving the country in three weeks and spending the next six months in Africa

7. Do you know what one of the most awesome things to combat cold is? Corn bags.

Take a piece of flannel cloth, stitch it into a small, pillow-like rectangle (say 4"-6" by 12"-16") invert so the seams are on the inside, add two to three cups of deer feed seed corn, stitch the remaining end shut. Heat bag in microwave for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes.

Makes a marvelous personal-space heater. Use in your lap, your car, under the blankets at night - Will retain heat for up to six hours or more! (And also has a pleasant, popcorn-like scent when heated)
