life, the universe, and everything edition... lots

1. I typed up some fics today.  I've actually been writing a lot, just haven't felt like typing.

2. On Thursdays and Fridays, I help my aunt out by going play with her dogs (two big, rambunctius black labs).  Her yard borders a creepy swamp area and every time I look up, I expect to see Jason Vorhees.  It's very disconcerting.

3. I wrote a fic that has to do with banking. I know nothing about banking.  Would someone be willing to read over it for me, to make sure nothing is completely wrong?

4. If Lord Vaako from Chronicles of Riddick took over the Narada, so none of the Trek reboot happened, and then he gets stuck in the Trek reboot universe, should he settle down and become Bones, or actually be an ancestor of Bones? (*cough* No fic happening here.)

5. The TV tropes website has made me want to rewatch Firefly. Should I?

6. Also, I discovered Kitchen Confidential.  How the hell did that show get cancelled?  It's right up there with Supernatural in love for me now.

7. I am so very tired of school.  I cannot wait till May.

That's a big fat YES to rewatching Firefly. I just rewatched it last weekend and it made me so happy. I miss it so much! I've been calling things "Shiny" all week!

2. aw, labs. So enthusiastic. Also, my backyard is surrounded by woods that look exactly like the ones in The Blair Witch Project. so I feel that on the swamps.

6. Have you read the book? It's not great literature, but it's a) very salty and b) tons of fun. (I've never watched the show...is it a normal cooking show format? is it about food, or is it about crazy kitchen antics? does it matter?)

7. I'm taking a year off between high school and college, and while I'm enjoying my massive amounts of free time, I do legitimately miss homework. which is weird. we should switch.

2. I've actually managed to never see that movie. I think I'm glad about that.

6. I have not. I got the movie for John Francis Daly because of "Bones" and was happily surprised at how many people I recognized. (Sulu! Xander! Chick from My Bloody Valentine!) It's mostly about the crazy antics of the crazy people, but there is lots of food, too.

7. I went straight from highschool to community college to state university. That's seventeen years of homework. I'm burnt out. Two more months and I AM DONE.

Isn't TV tropes addictive-- I've just started reading Pratchett because of that site-- and the City Watch books are very good!

The first time I saw Serenity, I hadn't watched any Firefly at all, so I wasn't impressed and didn't finish the movie. Then I decided to give Firefly a try, and so many things from the internet made sense.

TV Tropes is TOTALLY addictive! I'll start out on one page and then end up with 30 others opened.

I think, actually, Vaako becomes Bones, due to timeline issues. But I haven't really made up my mind yet.

3. I don't really know anything about banking. But I'm a bookkeeper, so if you're terribly desperate I could give it a quick pass? That said, I've never beta'd in my life either, so I don't know how useful I might me, if at all.

Umm, aside from some filing and sorting and number crunching...calculate wages and income tax, the VAT every three months, get documents ready for the accountant once a year, etc. We generally keep an eye on the money and try to make sure it is where it's supposed to be. It's boring some days and crazy hectic on others. :)
