He bled out in her, he was born in her, she's taken all his grief and anger and despair, and she's never left him behind.

He pats her hood and stares up at the stars and tries to imagine that somewhere, Sammy is, too (except he knows, there are no stars in Hell).

Fandom: Greek mythology

Warnings: AU for the myth
Pairings: Hades/Persephone
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 100
Point of view: third
Prompt: Hades/Persephone, legends don't tell the whole story

There is a garden, and that is where they met. They had a standing date every month after: he would sweep her off her feet and carry her away or she would sneak her way into his kingdom. Neither was all that hard, really—she never hid and no one ever tried to get into the underworld.

But her mother misunderstood, and her lover overreacted to her mother's accusations, and Persephone ate far more than one pomegranate, spread out on Hades' bed, nibbling at the fruit from his own hand.

She'd always intended to marry him, anyway.

Title: beggars would ride

Pairings: none
Wordcount: 125
Point of view: third
Prompt: Eliot and Parker, teaching her to ride a horse

"Trust me," he says, one hand resting lightly on her shoulder, the other patting the giant horse's.

She does, really she does, and that's so weird. So she stands next to him, eyes on the horse, and listens to his instructions.

"Now," he says, after she's on the giant horse, "just feel him, Parker. You jump off buildings for fun. This is much easier."

Says him, she thinks, but she trusts him.

The horse just follows him quietly, ears flicking around, and Parker holds on tight. And, really... it's not so bad. She doesn't see what the big deal is, why he enjoys this so much, but she's been through worse things. And the horse is kinda pretty.

He grins at her, and she smiles back.

Title: family and home

Pairings: shades of Sokka/Aang
Rating: PG
Wordcount:55
Point of view: third
Prompt: Aang, adopted into the Water Tribe.

Their history is his history, their victories his victories, their pain his pain. He is the Avatar, all four elements, all four peoples, and the South Pole where Sokka has just been made chief is as much a home as the Air Temple ever was.

(Maybe more, he thinks, as they go penguin sledding.)

1. I adore the Hades/Persephone drabble. It was great. This line is the best part: "nibbling at the fruit from his own hand." What beautiful imagery.

2. Aw, the language in the Leverage fic is so Parker. You write from her perspective so well. I love it! :)

3. The Avatar fic is also really adorable. The way you describe his merging is brief but powerful. I giggled when I read the last line.

These were all great, thanks for sharing. :)
