I'm going through my unfinished original poetry file on my laptop, right?  And I found this one.  The document is titled hansel and gretel and here's the poem:

Hunger hunger
Hungry eyes
Here they come
Feast all night
Fatten up the juicy entrée
Enslave the petite morsel on the plate
Hunger hunger
Almost time
Clever girl


I'm not entirely sure what to do with it.  I think it might be complete.  Anyone out there with an opinion?   (Also, is it as creepy as I think it is?)

My family is German and my mom raised me on the old school Grimm fairy tales and Struwwelpeter (shudders). The version of Hansel and Gretel she used to read me had the most horrific illustrations. I was terrified of them and felt bad for the witch, lol!

I've always felt kinda bad for the witch. They were eating her house, and that's just not cool.

Yes! Exactly! They break into this poor woman's house, EAT her house and then thow her in an oven. What the hell?!!! She was probably just joking about the whole eating them thing anyway ; )
