*sporfle* research, people. RESEARCH.
Jun. 24th, 2012 01:34 pmSo, there's this movie on SyFy I plan to watch later. Arachnoquake. Now, I don't know much about it, going in, just what last week's paper told me. It was filmed in Baton Rouge and is set in New Orleans.
Apparently, there's an explosion or drilling in New Orleans that causes an earthquake. And the earthquake releases the giant spiders that have been living underground, and they start attacking the city. Of New Orleans.
Giant spiders. Living underground. In NEW ORLEANS.
… there’s, like, fifteen plotholes the size of Jupiter, right there. It’s going to be awesome. I really want to see a giant spider climbing the State Capitol.
Just. There is no underground in New Orleans. Or, really, Baton Rouge, if it comes to that. It’s worse than kids being at school during a Category 4 hurricane.

In the movie, they follow the spiders belowground, and it looked like Shelob's lair.
There is nowhere in southern Louisiana that looks like Shelob's lair. The spiders would've drowned.
