Remember, if you are totally unsure of an answer, the answer is usually C.
Also, I guessed on ALL the math questions and basically just did a pretty pattern on the scantron and passed math quite well. I was in remedial math in High School and never took geometry, trig or calculus. I HAD to do something to pass! LOL
I suspect you have a superb writer's vocabulary. You may not have troubled to learn words that are ugly, confusing, or otherwise useful only for vocabulary tests.
I've known quite a few fine people who collect unusual words. It's a fun game, but you don't have to be a writer to play.
Urgh. The problem is not with your vocabulary, it's with the word selection on the GRE. Even words you do know and use, you'll want to double check because they might have decided to use the third or fourth definition as the definitive one. Good luck with it, though.
(And just think what Methos would have to deal with given constant language shifts.)
I've read your writing. You'll be fine. I swear the practice tests were harder than the real thing (at least in the English section...the math is too scary too talk about, for me).

Math? Math makes no sense no matter what I do.

Date: 2012-08-15 05:21 am (UTC)I actually found one word yesterday that I've seen before and thought was a typo. It rocked my world.

But the math... *sigh*
