1. I'm in grad school now. I think it's going pretty good. Politics of Literacy is already pissing me off because of so much stuff I didn't know.

2. I'm back as assistant editor at the place I worked last May to November. They're also paying for me to go to grad school. I won't actually get a paycheck until Feb 21, though.

3. So, I created a tumblr awhile ago that I did nothing with. I'm now posting pictures to it. Every picture is one I took, though there are hundres more I'm not posting. *shrugs* After reading and writing, photography is my favorite thing.

4. I hurt my knee in late November 2012. The doctor told me I had tendonitis and prescribed weight loss, so I joined weight watchers at the end of the year.

5. I bought Teen Wolf for myself earlier this month because so many of my favorite authors write fic for it, and the gifs intrigued me. I've spent the past week devouring fic on Ao3. Stiles is awesome. (I haven't started season 2 yet, though.)

6. No, really, Politics of Literacy is severely pissing me off. Also, I'm going to have to read Hunger Games for Fantasy and Folklore and I really don't want to.

7. I haven't been writing much. The closest thing I have to a grandmother is still dying. I spend some days in a haze of what I think might be depression; that apparently runs in the family. I'm passive-aggressive a lot and should work on that. I sometimes think about driving my car off the road and into the creek I pass over every day, to and from school/work. *shrugs* (I might be in a funk right now.)

*hugs you* Yay for being in grad school. And depression is not fun, particularly when you have situational reasons for it as well as family history to contribute. All good thoughts for you and yours. *hugs you again*

Reading Hunger Games is actually easier than watching the movie. It goes faster and makes more sense.

Sending hugs.

Does your school have a health office? Or some place where you can talk to a counselor? Many universities have them, and technically you are paying for their services when you pay all those university fees. Go check it out.

You're probably under a lot of stress right now. With the grandma dying and taking college classes. College is always stressful, add in a class you don't like, assignments you don't want to do but HAVE to, and a grandparent who is not in the best health. It's no surprise you're in a funk.

4. I know I need to lose weight too, at least because my knees and ankles would thank me. Now I need the motivation :P (Weight Watchers is not available here any more, but I do have some of the material that my mother got when she tried it.)

6. Hunger Games the book wasn't really that terrible a read when I read it last year; not interested in reading the other two books though.

And *hugs* <3

I've been in states like that more than once. It sucks, but trust me, it gets better. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother/family friend. I have someone like that who was ill a year or two ago, though she recovered and is living in an apartment building for seniors who need varying amounts of assistance. I had an uncle who was dying of cancer for a longish while before he ultimately died a few years ago.

Oh. Well, I'm sure you only did it if you had no other options.

My godmother fortunately needs only minimal assistance, like using a walker when she leaves her apartment to have dinner in the dining area below her, and having us shop for her. Her place isn't really like a rest home. And she has her cat Toby for company.
