Words cannot properly convey the ridiculousness of waking up this morning, checking the temperature, and it being NINETEEN degrees outside. 19F. This was noon:
This was 5pm:

Utter ridiculousness. How do you cold-weather people do it?

Date: 2014-01-08 12:51 pm (UTC)But right now we have not gone below OC in *months*, just grey days with rain or fog sometimes added. WE should have cold temperatures, but we don't *sigh* :)
Still, that looks beautiful. <3

Date: 2014-01-08 08:53 pm (UTC)Oh, it was very pretty! Ridiculous, but pretty.
I spent a week in Nebraska last year (ringing in the 2013 New Year with snow far too north for my tastes) and it's so odd to be feeling the same weather here as was there. Without the snow, thankfully.
If you'd like our current weather, you're more than welcome to it.

Date: 2014-01-08 08:53 pm (UTC)They're all over the apartment complex. The one closest to mine got hit by sunlight, so it didn't stay frozen over like this one.

Date: 2014-01-14 04:11 am (UTC)I know that Northern states have it much worse, but at least they know what they're doing, everyone here starts stockpiling water if it goes below 40.
Hopefully you kept warm.

Date: 2014-01-14 09:29 pm (UTC)Oh, yeah, I was fine. But a couple days later, I stepped outside and thought, Wow, it's warm. It was 47 degrees. *hands*
And I know about everyone freaking out - a few years ago, it snowed the morning of one of my finals and I made my mom drive me to school because I had absolutely no idea how to drive on ice.
