HOLY FUCK THIS MOVIE HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK
It's as good as the rest (as in, entertaining despite poor dialogue and random explosions (or because of it?)) BUT HOLY FUCK
PAUL WALKER OMG HOLY FUCK
Heartbreaking. I knew going in they weren't going to kill Brian, but the ACTORS. THEY ARE NOT ACTING IN THE FINAL SCENE OMG
I cried in the theater and I've never even been a Paul Walker fan. Oh, Jesus.

Date: 2015-05-12 09:29 pm (UTC)I was a bit wibbly at the send off part on the beach too - I've always thought it neat how the cast was as much a family as their characters, and you could definitely tell what they were feeling there - but I kept it pretty well together until that part at the end when the cars suddenly divide to pursue separate roads. It felt literally like I'd been punched; I gasped and burst into tears right there in the theater, too. *sympathetic flaily hands*
Anyway. Fast Five is still my favorite. But I'll be rewatching this one a lot, too. Despite the ridiculous factor in places.

Yeah, when Vin Diesel is saying goodbye to Paul Walker - that's what really got me. Because that wasn't Dom talking to Brian.
I've never seen the second or third films, but I'm going to have to rewatch 4 - 6 now.

Date: 2015-05-13 04:45 pm (UTC)Dude. The first time I watched the first one, I really enjoyed it but when I watched it again years later, the dialogue really bugged me because it has not aged well. But yeah, the car porn is amazing and so are the characters. If you can ignore the dialogue (which remains cheesy throughout the entire series), it's worth the watch.
Fair warning - I've never seen the second or third (which chronologically is sixth, unless you want a massive spoiler), but 4 - 6 are pretty damned good.
Anyway, watching order is best as 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, Tokyo Drift, then 7.
