I shiver and want to cry every time I watch the last race in Secretariat.

Muscle relaxers are not conducive to doing schoolwork. Or focusing. I do have doctor's orders to not take stairs, so I've emailed my teacher (who is also my new advisor) about moving class Tuesday night if at all possible. The only elevator in that building has been broken for nearly a month, so I've gritted my teeth twice and taken the stairs but my knee screamed for the remainder of that night and the next day both times. What I don't understand is how the people who work in that building haven't raised a fuss to get it fixed. Isn't it breaking all sorts of regulations for accommodation?

It's got to be against ADA or whatever. Can your advisor help you?

Or does the school have someone in head of maintenance? Call them, perhaps?

The really mean part of me says contact ADA dot gov and see how to lodge a complaint.

Watch something that makes you laugh and enjoy the mood-enhancing side effects. I get either super giggly or super morose depending on what I'm watching the odd time I take muscle relaxants. Definitely prefer giggly, though.

That really has to be violating all sorts of rules. I know here there has to be some form of wheelchair accessibility and if it's compromised, get the repairman out pronto. :(
Maybe it's not big enough of a deal to people who are by and large grand to use the stairs. I know my mother and I would have problems and we're relatively able-bodied but stuck with chronic pain. Maybe your supervisor can kick up a fuss.
