I’m going to check the results, I’m going to finish this episode of Elementary, and then I am going to lie awake in my bed and tell myself a story as I try to fall asleep, and when I wake up in the morning, Hillary will have won because anything else is a horrible, terrible mistake that can’t possibly have happened.

(Just... how? I legitimately never once actually thought he could win. How?)

The same way the Leave Campaign won. With lies, trickery, deceit and foolish people willing to spoil votes/protest vote/intimidate people.

Not gonna lie, I think the rest of the world is giving Murica some serious salty side-eye today. Be good to yourself. *hugs*

I dunno but Enda Kenny is immediately catching flak for brown nosing to the Trump administration >:(

(Mind you, De Valera gave Germany condolences on the death of Hitler, so Ireland has form).

I noticed a horrible trend in Trump's campaign, and it ws pure abusive gaslighting techniques, so as far as I'm concerned, everyone who voted for him is the equivalent of that person who refuses to get out of an abusive relationship because "I can change him" or "I deserve it". And that's just so, so wrong.

I heard that bookmakers were paying people at polling stations to vote for Trump *ugh*

I also saw on Twitter a rumour of thousands of people spoiling their vote by voting for Harambe the gorilla. This is not the same as when Dustin the Turkey ran against Mary Robinson, this is just awful.

What I don't understand is that she seems to have won the popular vote? How did he get more? I don't understand. Her concession speech was so eloquent. She is so elegant.

Neither did I. I didn't even think it would be that close a split.

My professor says she had been afraid there were a lot of people being quiet about their plans to vote for Trump, and she was right.
