I do want to hear from Dean more than anyone else, but I'm kind of curious about what will be going on in Sam's head.

That depends on who else will be sharing their POV. I desperately hope that if there are any Gryffindor POVs, one of the boys will be from Slytherin because of all the rivalry fun.

Novocain always made my mother feel awful. Gave me a mortal fear of dentists, when actually it's never been bad for me. Must suck for you.

What's "Refractured"?

Vanilla isn't boring; it's just that chocolate is so great.

Vin Tanner is so pretty (in a scruffy kind of way), but Jensen always wins. I wish Dean would grow out his hair a little and wear clothes that are more flattering, though, so I voted for Ben, just to remind Dean he's not all that.

Seventy-seven is the most fun to say. I'm going to be saying it all day now.

I tried a couple of quizzes pretending to be Sam and Dean and, in one, I was surprised to find that Dean came out a Slytherin and Sam came out a Gryffindor. Those are hard though, because I think we all have a different perspective on the boys. You could try a couple of quizzes yourself, though.

I just searched Google for Hogwarts, Houses, Sorting Hat, and/or quiz.

There were none that particularly impressed me. I just thought that if you took a couple and they agreed, it might give you a nudge. I think [livejournal.com profile] ignipes did a post asking which house they would be in that got a lot of response. The poll results were pretty predictable, but the discussion might be helpful.

Doctors are tricky that way. One time they're all, this'll hurt a bit, grin and bear it. Then they're all, why didn't you say something, it's not supposed to hurt!

8 is the best number. It's made of 2's. And it's two little circles, put together. Clearly, the superior number.

(sorry, it just hits my OCD. Watching Monk drives me crazy since he's all about 10, when 10 sucks, as a number. It's all...lopsided)

Sure, pick on me all you want. :)

It doesn't show much, except when I'm stressed, and I go shopping, and everything I get I've got two of. Or four (two twos, that's twice as good).

And my husband is all like "Um, baby? Did we need two bottles of ketchup and two jars of peanut butter?

Oh, gods, yes.
Never let me go shopping by myself. Or without a detailed shopping list. At least when the money's an issue.

Aren't quirks fun?

I can say that I've got it under control enough that I only buy twos of things that aren't perishable, and sometimes I can convince myself that things "match" and make a pair, even if they don't. Like bread and bagels. Chocolate soy-milk and vanilla. Things like that.

Do you buy in pairs too?

Detailed shopping list without a permission to go astray saves my sanity most of the time. :)

Though when we're talking about things just for myself... don't ask. It's like letting a kid into a candy store. Or the elephant into the Fine China Shop. (I've found myself falling easier for things divisible with 3, though.)

Oooh candy. M&M's must be eaten in pairs. And only certain colors can be matched.

She's right though. 8 is nice and symmetrical and ten is ugly and lopsided.

Seventy-seven! Still fun to say. I'm driving people crazy.

Hmm. 77. That's not a bad number, at least.

It perplexes me, because there's two 7s in it, but it's not divisible by 2. it's pretty, but it doesn't work.

I have fun poking at this, seeing what numbers my mind throws back as defective, and what it'll accept.

I was going offer up 81, cause you know, nine nines, and nines are three threes, and I like three, but it's another ugly lopsided number, but it adds up to nine, which is fun. So . . . I don't know whether I like it or not.

My license plate is 5445 which is nice and symmetrical, though I wouldn't have minded a three in the middle for a seesaw effect. They offered me 5455, but that turned me off immediately.

I don't think it's OCD for me, but I learned adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division with beads and smarties and mock abacuses, so I always see those beads when I hear a number. I see pie-like wedges when working with fractions. Numbers are fun!

Trust me, once you step on that road, it's a vicious circle that's so very hard to break...

Luckily, many different numbers push my buttons (2, 3, 5, 7, all numbers divisible by them, or adding up as them...and they're all prime numbers, too.)

Seven is a perfectly good number. But then again I like all numbers. None are really better or worse than the others. Of course "1 is the loneliest number...2 can be as sad as 1, it's the loneliest number since the number one"...**will now be hearing Three Dog Night in her head all night**

Dentists and other health professionals are there to help you. It is ok to show pain in front of them. Practically none of them are actually predators who will eat you if you show weakness.

Personally I think that neither of the boys should be at the Hogwarts school. I think they should be running a used broom and wand store in town.

Chocolate is fabulous in more applications than vanilla but do not under estimate the value of the humble bean in baked goods like cookies.

"Why doesn't the dentist's painkiller work on me?"

just sharing: i went through a phase where my face simply would not freeze (on one visit my dentist injected me four times...to no avail). his best guess was that my abuse of chloraseptic throat spray, which is chemically quite similar to many dental anaesthetics, led me to developing a tolerance for the stuff. i was smoking alot then and took to soothing my abused throat with cherry flavored numbness. i stopped and 6 months later, freezing worked again. hurray.

have they tried you on laughing gas??? if not, ask for it. if it works for you (and it did for me) it is the best thing EVER. it makes going to the dentist FUN. you feel the pain, you know it hurts, you are completely aware of the feeling of the drilling searing into your raw toothy nerves - but it just doesn't bother you, its so fricken weird. everything is funny and fuzzy - you say stupid things that make perfect sense at the time. its better than alcohol, pot or E - and its completely out of your system in 5 minutes so you can drive home.

"chocolate or vanilla?"

chocolate AND vanilla or chocolate THEN vanilla.

"Who's better looking?"

dean is the only name i recognize.

"What's the best number?"

of those listed, i like seven. there is both a history and a simplicity to it. otherwise, 42 is the best number. it is the ultimate answer to the great question.
