May. 11th, 2012 01:39 pmSo,
tigris_lilsis had this idea and now I want an animated icon: Michael Clarke Duncan smiling and looking all happy, then the next part is him looking all scary, with the text don't poke the bear. *hee* It'd be awesome. (Why, yes, we have been watching and loving The Finder, thank you very much.)
I'll give it a try: wishlist, 2011
Oct. 25th, 2011 09:40 pmStep One
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you’re comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 Holiday Wishes.
The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun to medium to really big to fandom things. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. If you wish for real possible things, just make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it’s your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
Surf around your friends list (or friends of friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. Here’s the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make someone’s wish come true. Once a wish has been granted, it will be crossed off the list. You needn’t spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn’t to put people out, it’s to provide everyone a chance to be someone else’s holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it’s your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you’ll have the joy of knowing you made someone’s holiday special.
I went with seven instead of ten. *shrugs* If someone decides to do something requiring my address, shoot me an email.
1. I would really really like artwork for one of my stories.
2. Any of my icon requests that haven't already been filled.
3. Donate to the Baton Rouge Little Theater.
4. Give any amount to the charity of your choice, or volunteer somewhere - I just spent over a year as the receptionist for Adult Literacy Advocates, and it was such a rewarding experience. It certainly taught me a lot.
5. Adopt an animal in need. Spay or neuter your cat or dog, if you haven't already done so.
6. I'd like the Glee 2011 Paley DVD.
7. Create something for someone in your RL.

Aug. 24th, 2011 05:40 pmIs there any way that some kind-hearted soul could make me an icon of this? I will write said person a drabble of their choice.

So, I dragged
tigris_lilsis to the new Pooh Bear movie. It was so epically adorable, oh my god. I *squee*d throughout the whole thing. I grinned so hard my face hurt.
And now, to anyone out there who's seen it (or is just better at the internet than me) I want an icon of Piglet holding that flower. I can't find a single screencap, though. I googled it, but none of the answering images were the one I wanted.
I will be seeing the movie again.
Hey, y'all, would anyone consider taking one of these pictures and making an icon with the words, "Don't make me go captain on your ass"? The guy is Captain Andy from Deadliest Catch, and if anyone knows more about him than me, could probably find a better picture.
It's for my mom. I'll write a drabble for anyone who does.
ETA: is awesomely taken care of!
