Sorry Sammy-girls but he's only been popping (black smoke) aka demons, whilst Sylar has been offing just about everyone left right and centre body count-wise its Sylar. The weird part I haven't even watched Heroes...
Does that mean my opinion in this is gibberish? (sigh\O/)
Depends when during Season 4, and whether Sylar is influenced by powers that exorcise and kill demons, which is a faaaaascinating question right there, but all in all, yeah, I agree with blacklid. Dean wins.

I'm thinking Sam's powers could be used on Sylar. He at least has telekinesis, right? The whole exorcism thing... hmm. If he's killing what passes for a soul, then he could probably take Sylar.
Of course, he has to do it before Sylar brings up one of his own powers, and there's where Sam would fail, I think. The demons are all caught off-guard and by the time they start fighting back, it's too late. But people with power are always trying to kill Sylar, so that's nothing new.

There's another disturbingly fascinating question; could Sam tear out a regular native-to-the-body human soul? o.O
Dean wins everything ever.
Of course. Which leads to: Battle Royale between Sam and Sylar, Sam catches Sylar off-guard the first time, because Sam's powers don't ping off Sylar's radar, for some reason Sam doesn't kill him ( has doubts because he's never tried this on a human before and only realizes Sylar's not a demon when he gets into soul-grappling, or is interrupted by Dean or by Sylar's protege, just enough for some unexpected Sylar maneuver), and Sylar gets away. Sam fails to catch Sylar flat-footed the second time, is getting his ass kicked, Dean comes along and wins.
Nope. I figured I'd let it roam free. Anytime I try to write stuff like that it ends up cheesy. Plus Summergen is currently kicking me in the teeth, and a horde of already started bunnies are waiting to eat my brain after Summergen's done.
Not logical, just sensible, I guess. If it makes you feel any better, I'm also putting off the entirely non-SPN massive crack crossover bunny that jumped me on tuesday.
How amazing that you ask this now, when my friend and i have just been doing our own little comparison of these two very characters over the past few days.
We decided Sylar, because although Sam is able to exorcize demons, Sylar is not possessed. It wouldn't do him much good. And yes, he's very strong, but Sylar won't need hand-to-hand combat with him, considering his abilities.
I say this as a devout Samgirl, hoping he would win anyway.
Yeah, I was discussing this with tigris_lilsis. I decided that in a purely physical fight, even season-one Sam could beat Sylar. Maybe even in a raw-power sense, as he is the BoyKing or whatever.
But Sylar is crafty and can make all his powers work together, and by the time Sam brings his arm up to do whatever it is he does, Sylar's already taken him down.
Exactly. If it comes to strength of arm, Sam's just got the muscle power of an army LOL. He'd take Sylar down. But Sam wouldn't be able to get to him if Sylar was powerful.
I wanted to say Sylar...Actually I'm going to still give it to Sylar. Mainly because I think that his powers would have an effect on Sammy. What would really be interesting though is Season three Sylar against season four Sammy. Mainly because shape shifting and the memory power he has would allow him to convincingly go in as Dean and kill him.
