So some kid brought a gun to my little sister's school today.

Jesus Christ.  It was unloaded, but still.

A gun to my baby sister's school.

I've felt like crying for twenty minutes now.

I understand how frightened you must have been. I live in the DC metro area and the shooting of the middle school boy by the Beltway sniper was at my daughter's school. It was terrifying. There were also several lockdowns when she was in high school. The world is a much harsher place then it used to be.

I completley agree. I've become so used to violence and things of that nature through the news and tv shows, that honestly, I wasn't even worried about this at all today. I was more concerned about my calculus test. Not to belittle the terror of going through that, but it had already been handled by the time we even heard about it. Thank you for being concerned though!

We joke now about learning how to "bob and weave" running out to the car but it really was a horrible time. Having a serial killer actually in your neighborhood is freakin terrorizing. I never wanted to leave the house.
