Are there any new plots, for the crimes? Or is it all stuff seen on the plethora of crime shows?

I'm getting a copy of season 1 from the library.

sorry for late reply, you probably should just watch and see if you like, the only other crime shows i've watched with any regularity are bones and criminal minds, which skew very oddly i think, and do not constitute a plethora in any case.
