Heh. One of my own greatest peeves. (I have actually edited bulletin board notices from the boss - adding an apostrophe and an "e" and the end to the incorrect "your")
Someone out there has an icon that has (among other things) -
When the English teacher used to pass out worksheets for us to do, I felt the need to correct every mistake I found, even when that wasn't the assignment. They just drove me crazy.
I can't count the number of times in public my hands *ITCH* to edit errors. ("Ladie's" - REALLY????)
Oh, and back in college I used to fantasize with another grammar guru girl on my team about proofing our class handbook (created by the - at that point, much-hated, by ALL of us - teacher). We actually did quite a few pages and individual handouts over the course of the semester - as stress release!
