's'up, y'all
Nov. 3rd, 2012 08:44 amSo, is there anyone who has read the serial killer Klaine AU and is willing to discuss it with me? I need to talk to someone about it and no one in my RL is interested. (They're actually kinda creeped out by it. *shrugs*)

Date: 2012-11-03 05:43 pm (UTC)I just need to discuss characterization, plot ideas, and serial killers.

Date: 2012-11-04 04:08 am (UTC)Dude! Kurt is like the most awesome thing ever.

Date: 2012-11-04 11:27 pm (UTC)I'll take your word on Kurt for now. I know you're not the only one enamored and I would check the series out but I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it less than I should. I'm fairly picky about series and if there's no crime fighting, supernatural elements, science fiction elements or some combination thereof, chances are that I won't like it.
Actually, the "some combinations thereof" is what gets me in trouble, fic-wise. What with the list of epic AU ideas that I never get around to finishing... ;)
(Sorry for the delayed reply - have had connectivity issues today.)

Ah, yeah, no crime fighting, supernatural bits, sci fi, or any combination thereof; just a lot of kids doing a lot of stupid things.
I had no intention of watching Glee either, and actually teased my little sister for watching it, and then I caught part of Kurt's rant about why he's an atheist. I never really had a chance after that.

Date: 2012-11-05 09:14 pm (UTC)Yeah. "Kids doing stupid things" is, shall we say, not listed amongst my preferred topics of entertainment. I can understand the appeal of the show on an intellectual level but I think I'll leave the watching and squeeing to other people.
Heh. That's one of the more unusual ways I've heard of someone getting sucked into watching a show - and a very cool one!
(Finally got a chance to watch Avengers, by the way! Loved it. Am now busy reading all the interesting fic I can find as I beat my head against the wall because I keep stalling out on my idea-in-progress.)

Date: 2012-11-05 09:22 pm (UTC)Here. That is how I met Kurt Hummel and there was no looking back.
I actually haven't watched Avengers since it came out on DVD. I've just been in a weird mood (that's lasted a couple months) where I can't handle the way Loki is treated in canon. I haven't been able to read fics either, for the same reason. *shrugs*

Date: 2012-11-05 09:34 pm (UTC)I am sorry to hear that! I did see your post of last week but did not have a chance to comment right away. By the time I did have the opportunity, a few days had passed and I didn't want to remind you of it if you were trying to put it out of your mind. (Though I add my voice to those reassuring you that they do enjoy your writing and are sad to hear you went through all that - and are very glad to hear that you're doing better. Sounds like you were in a pretty scary place for a while there. I don't know that there's anything I/we can do to help but let me know if there is?)
I don't blame you for being put off by canon. I definitely see what you mean when you were saying that Loki got a raw deal. Not to mention the subtext that his actions in the movie were not entirely of his own volition. I've been sticking to the Steve/Tony fic for now and skipping the evil!Loki stuff. It helps that the idea-in-progress is one that I started after I saw Thor last year but never finished so it's a bit kinder to Loki, in terms of his treatment. (Apparently I have this thing for writing Loki in Disney princess roles? Of a sort. Long story. I'll spare you the details unless you're curious. ;))

Date: 2012-11-06 01:24 am (UTC)... Loki is Cinderella, right? Or Rapunzel. That'd be wicked.
And I'm very curious.
I'm much better; I think it was just so many things at once. Thank you!

Date: 2012-11-06 02:02 am (UTC)This makes me happy! :D I would be more than happy to blither ideas and plot babble in your direction, if you like! (I really do adore talking out ideas, even if I'm crap at finishing things.) Want to PM me your e-mail address, maybe? Otherwise I'm going to end up spamming your journal like mad.
Very glad to hear it!
