So, I've resumed writing in the 'verse where Arthur&Eames (of Inception fame) raise Harry Potter as their son, Eddie Colmes (because Arthur's identity when he rescued Harry was a Colmes). Eames is Merlin reincarnated; Arthur is purely muggle (mayhap, he's King Arthur reincarnated; mayhap he's not. Eames doesn't care one way or another). For Inception, in fact, everything is perfectly canon. HP, of course, shall be turned on its head.

But I need an actualfax plot, I think. Should I do the plot from Sorcerer's Stone? Because Eddie doesn't care one whit about Voldemort. He'll probably investigate the forbidden corridor, charm the dog (without magic), and steal the stone within two weeks of being at Hogwarts. He has no idea he's Harry Potter, but his fathers are master thieves, and one of them is the most powerful mage in the world.

*hands* I've been fleshing out the backstory the past few days, and I already know where the story starts, if/when I post it. But I don't know what plot it should have. Anybody wanna offer suggestions?

My childhood home was robbed today. Whoever they were, they took the TV, Dad's binoculars (both sets), Dad's wedding ring (he's been meaning to have it resized), some of Mom's jewelry (garnet earrings and garnet ring), and a jar of coins that may have been maybe $50. Mom&Dad's room was trashed; my old bed (I got a new one for the apartment) was tossed over.

Typing it all up like that, it really doesn't seem like that much. For some reason, that unsettles me more than anything. Like, why break in for so few things?

If the dog had been in the yard instead of her kennel (it gets so hot here during the summer); if tigris_lilsis's car had been in the driveway (she took off sick from work); if we had a magical security system that fried anyone with ill-intent - if if if if unto forever...

*sigh*

I've just been in an odd mood since I heard. It's not my home anymore; I don't live there. I've been gone for about a month and a half. My old closet is full of things that couldn't fit in the apartment and an empty safe that the thieves didn't find. But I still feel violated. And angry. And a little afraid. A part of me wants to cry; a lot of me wants to rage.

All in all, they didn't take much. Nothing that can't be replaced. (We didn't even pay for the TV, originally; Mom won it at a convention. All it cost was the gas required to drive home.) Of all the outcomes of a burglary, this was far from the worst.

But still. I just... don't know what to do, or say, or feel.

If the rose won't wilt 'til his 21st birthday, how old was the prince when he was cursed?

Also, where were his parents? And why did the prince open the door himself?

I kinda want to write dark AUs for all of the Disney movies, and here's how I could see it going for this one:

Maurice is put into the sanitarium immediately after getting back after Belle took his place. He dies there.

When Belle looks into the mirror, she sees him in a pauper’s grave.

Things devolve into Twisted Princess Belle from there.

So, I checked out three Jared Leto movies from the library because I'm in a Jared Leto mood, and I just realized he dies in all of them. *pouts* I don't like it when my favorites die.

So, I've seen the movie twice and it is awesome - but where is all the fic? Dude! It's such a fun film and needs all the fic!

I was ambivalent about Channing Tatum before but he's totally won me over, and Jamie Foxx is badass. And Channing Tatum's daughter is badass. And the tour guide is badass.

I want fic! Where is it?
